How does Yasuo's and Riven's wind style work? (LORE)

OK, here's the thing. In the Yasuo lore, it says that he is the only one in his generation who has mastered the wind style, this means that wind style is extremely hard to master, but taught to the students of his school. > "Formerly a brilliant pupil at a renowned Ionian sword school, Yasuo was the only student in a generation to master the legendary wind technique."

But Riven's lore never says anything about her learning the wind technique and the only abnormal thing about riven is her conviction and her sword.

> "She was ruthless and efficient as a warrior, but her true strength lay in her conviction. She entered battles without any trace of doubt in her mind: no ethical pause, no fear of death." "So exceptional was her passion that the High Command recognized her with a black stone rune sword forged and enchanted with Noxian sorcery. The weapon was heavier than a kite shield and nearly as broad - perfectly suited to her tastes."

How is it that Riven can use the wind technique? Because of her Sword? Because of her ruthless conviction? Maybe a little of both?

If it is possible to preform the wind technique just by the sword, because of the Rune Blade, then it would be possible to just make these swords for the most worthy warriors, (and don't tell me the sword is unique, it was forged which means it is possible to do it again). So unless Noxus is just dumb, which it isn't, there should be more in the Noxian military with wind technique capabilities, even if very few.

If it is Riven's conviction that gives her the ability to preform wind style, then how did she ever get introduced to wind style? Someone must have taught her right? She could be like Yasuo in the way that she was the only one who was able to learn wind style.

Or could it be both her conviction and her sword that allows her to preform the wind technique? It could be that her unique fighting style of using acrobatics to fight enemies complements the runic sword's enchantments.

Riven's fighting style consists of using acrobatics to outmaneuver and outrun her enemies. Her attacks are preformed in a totally human way, that with enough training, other people could preform too. Her Q is two spinning swings with a flip that she slams her sword into the ground. Her W is to activate a burst of energy from her sword to temperately disable her enemies. Her E is a simple dash, and her ultimate surges her sword with energy that allows her to slash the air into a deadly wave.

If you look closely at her Q animations you can see when she is swinging her sword, a slash of air that is similar to her ult comes from her left or right side, depending on if you are on her first and second Q. Her third Q she flips and slams her sword into the ground, which looks like it cuts the air in all directions centered on Riven and not her sword. One more observation is that the sword seems to cut the ground and spiderweb outwards. There also is debris whenever she uses her Q, which looks like the runes on her sword and metal like her sword. I have no idea what these are, but it seems like the rune blade is enchanting the air for a split second.

Her W is her activating energy through her sword in order to stun people immediately next to her. One intimidate question is why she isn't stunned herself. Could it be that the energy is released outwards from the surface of the sword going out wards? This would explain why she puts the sword above her head and under the handle to avoid stunning herself. Or is she somehow immune to the sword's effects due to mastery or it being her own power? If it were to be mastery of the wind technique, then it wouldn't stun Yasuo, so could the power of the sword originate from Riven herself?

Her R (ult) is her sword coming together and surging with energy which allows her to cut a large area into a wind attack like a sharp edge, as opposed to Yasuo's spinning the wind in his wind attacks.

Speculation This brings up another interesting idea:

If Yasuo's blade is a wind blade like Riven's, the wind technique could require a blade (special or not) to preform, and depending on the tool used, is the way wind is manipulated. For instance, Yasuo's sword is long and slim. This allows him to quickly redirect wind and spin it into mini-hurricanes. As for Riven, her blade is big and wide, able to manipulate the wind into a sharp edge that can cut.

OVERALL QUESTIONS Yasuo : Did Yasuo's master know wind style? Does the word 'generation' in the Yasuo lore mean people within a certain age range of him? If so, then is it possible that other former students of that sword school that are near their 60's-100's know the wind technique? When Yasuo is in-game and says "Another wind blade?!" after Riven's ult, does this mean his sword is also a wind blade, or has he come across other wind blades? Are Yasuo's wind attacks visible in his world like they are in-game?

Riven : Does Riven even know she uses wind style? If so, was she taught? Does the rune blade amplify her wind power, or is it the source of her wind power? How do the runes on her sword work? What are the debris on her Q animation? What effect does her rune sword have on the ground during her Q's? Would Riven be able to use the Wind Technique without her Rune Blade? Does the Rune Blade amplify Riven's natural power, or does the sword hold all of the magical energy involved in her how her sword comes together? is Riven's sword light physically, or is it because of the runes? Has Riven mastered the Wind Technique, or is she simply integrating it in her own fighting style?

Wind Technique in general: Is it purely physical or does it have magical properties, or use a form of magic to preform? Is an in-game Yasuo vs Yasuo battle what a battle between wind users like? (The ability to manipulate each other's wind abilities) Does the Wind Technique require a special tool to preform it, like Yasuo's and Riven's swords?

I really want to know the story behind Riven learning wind style to help my understanding of the lore. And also because I do Dungeons and Dragons and knowing how these things work makes it easy to seamlessly integrate it into stories.

This is what being a riven main does to you. Riot plz.

Riven doesn't really have a wind style, is that the runes on her blade lets out a really powerful blast of wind that destroy everything in it's path.

TLDR.

My head cannon is that Yasuo wind style is based on extreme sphincter control combined with a high bean diet.

Riven wind is based on her blowing nothing but hot air from her mouth as she complains about injustices while she murdered tons of Ionians for the lolz.

Riven don't know the Wind Technique that Yasuo uses. Riven uses Wind MAGIC instead of a technique because her sword was made from some runestone stuff, unlike Yasuo who was trained in that shit. Her ultimate is just releasing an attack that resembles wind. The thing is that Yasuo was taught on the wind techniques, and may had come to know techniques that closely resemble Riven Broken Wings (I mean, Yasuo Q realeses a tornado on his thrid Q, and his ultimate delivers three "hits", two keeping the person in the air for a second longer and the last one to bring them down). Yasuo must've got confused with a similar technique from the Wind School that uses three strikes in a manner similar to Riven's. I doubt Riven was the true killer of the elder, i bet that a new champ will come and will be a student that trained alongside Yasuo, but he was a smug asshole that was full of himself and became mad because people started giving more attention to Yasuo skills than him, so he left the school, plotting revenge and, when the Noxian invasion ws coming to Ionia, he went in the school, found the Elder unprotected, and killed him, and Yasuo being to blame for was just a Bonus. To be honest, LoL lores are sometimes soo vague that expeculations like this run wild.
