Taric rework is great, but his BIOS isn't!
His game play rework is excellent, but I am VERY DISAPPOINTED on how Taric lost his connection to gems in lore.
I was hyped when Poppy gave her jokes below: "A Noxian, a Targonian and a Piltie are robbing a bank." "The bank guy says, "I'll give you whatever you want."" "The Noxian says, "I'll take whatever gold you got back there."" "The Targonian says, "Gimme' all your gemstones."" "And the Piltie says, "Can I own this ba- uh, I own this bank, so..." He doesn't want anything because he owns the bank..."
I was hyped again when I read the "splendorous crown of star-gems" from Aurelion Sol's Bios.
I thought you guys are connecting Mt Targon with Gemsssssss, but you isn't. You removed the gem theme on Taric and relocate him to Mt Targon with absolutely no reason. IMO, Mount Targon is heavily themed with sky, and anti-void fighter. So you can find Leona representing the sun, Diana representing the moon, and Aurelion Sol representing the stars, and also pantheon with his tribe. They are also trying hard to suppress the void.
Although Taric was not a Targonian and not related to Sky, he had no reason to be related to Mount Targon before the rework. I don't know why you would try so hard to relocate him in Mount Targon, so you remake him as a celestial guardian, making him battle with voidlings creatures, and REMOVED his original theme of gem. Hence, his lore is now unrelated to gem, I find little similarity to his original bios. But yet you draw gems-like effects on his W and E abilities. What we need is a bio rework, but not a brand new different story with no continuity.
What were you teasing us with the new jokes of Poppy if Mount Targon have NOTHING TO DO WITH GEM AT ALL?
Moreover, you pushed Taric from Ezreal to Garen. :'( And why is it Garen again? Couldn't you ties story to variety of champs instead of Garen EVERY SINGLE TIME. (You just used Garen in Jhin's teaser for no reason at all... Garen is too busy participating in every story, related to Demacia or not, and every cinematic...)
I really enjoy reading the new Bios of Diana, Leona, Pantheon and Aurelion Sol, but Taric's? Not so much.
