Its funny how all the lore talks about these champions fighting each other and how all are mortal, yet when you kill an azir, nasus, renekton, or xerath you are basically killing a god.

gods fighting gods and i love it. That makes sense since gods fought gods and are capable of fighting gods because they are freaking gods. This post isnt saying you shouldnt be able to its that its funny that gods are fighting mortals.

it is nothing like killing a god compared to killing a mortal it's like in greek mythology when Achilles got killed at the battle of troy just because they are strong doesn't mean they are immortal

Achilles wasnt a god, he was dipped in the river styk and had skin that was impenatrable.

I just think its an intrsting point and how the shadow isles have some godlike people

I know he wasn't a god he recieved the power of impenatrable skin from an otherworldly force what happened to azir nasus renekton and xerath they got ascended so they got powers from an otherworldly force i wasn't saying achilles was a god i am saying that he is just like nasus azir renekton and xerath he was a normal person who was given special abilities from an external force just like they did so TL:DR azir, nasus, renekton, and xerath aren't gods, they are just warriors with special abilities

I see your point but its more of demigods rather than achilles. These guys are acsdeing to the status of gods, not warriors with powers. For example apollo, Dionysus, and artemis had zeus (a god) as their father, but mortal mothers. Once they established their power and abilities they were raised to god standards. Thus that is what happend to those three. They were normal beings that were raised to god status.

Achilles IS a demigod, sort of. Not the son of an actual god, but his mother was a nymph, a nature spirit. So kind of like a lesser half-spirit augmented by the river Styx, so he's considered a demigod in power.

i read it and you said "IS a demigod", then said sort of after. just throws someone off by captiazling IS. And he isnt sort of one either. demigod is to have one parent be a god and the other not. Its like harry potter, there are mud bloods, pure bloods, and half bloods. Yet in this sense they are not gods but great warriors, just like odyseussus and ajax

So? I mean that is sort of normal thing in games or in TV with super powerful beings.I all was find it the most funny with it some 1000s year old thing that can destroy city by moving his or her finger but end up losing to some kids.

Azir Nasus & Renekton are powerful and look like egypt gods,but they aren't really gods,just really powerful dudes who look like animals.

The only champs who are probably close to being some kind of god are: Xerath whose powers got extremely limited by that sarcophagus(which happened before he was able to get his godlike powers) Bard but he doesn't seem to be that strong in terms of combat power Soraka who had to give up on her godlike powers to save warwick

that doesn't make sense though.......Xerath pushed Azir out of his ascension ritual which would have made him like a god aka the same ritual that Nasus and Renekton went through, thus they are gods like xerath.

and soraka and bard are celestial beings but yea your right about soraka

Nope,notice how Xerath doesn't look like the other ascended? Thats because xerath manipulated the ritual itself,which is why Xeraths ascended from is so different from the others.

Azir,Nasus and Renekton were granted ascension,but Xerath simply took it and he appearantly took a lot more than what an ascdended being usually gets.

he may not look like the others but they have the same powers and abilites, he acsneded the same way but was full of hate and energy that he used his powers for destruction. they arnt only given special powers but are being risen to godlike status.

Again not really. Keep in mind that Nasus AND Renekton together weren't able to kill Xerath,despite the fact that they limited his power with a sarcophagus.

Xerath didn't ascend like the others,the others were granted ascension(azir for example was granted ascension because he saved sivir),but xerath forcefully took it. And it was confirmed by a rioter that Xerath did manipulate the ascension ritual,which is why he looks so different.

It is implied that without the sarcophagus limiting Xeraths power,he'd be basically omnipotent and none of the other ascended show such a power.

Xerath may be more powerful but the ritual of ascension is to make someone as a common warrior into a "god" status. Thus are are gods and not warriors with special powers.

Where does it say that they turn into gods? That is something you interpret into the ascension ritual based on pretty much nothing.

Ascension seems to me pretty similar to the iceborn in that a regular human is granted immortality and gets special powers,the main difference being that ascendeds turn into half-human-half-animal guys,but there is nothing that indicates that they've become gods.

Xerath changed the ritual in order to achieve a purer form of energy through it because he wanted to stand out from the other Ascended beings and that can be seen in the Perfect Ascension icon where the tool keeping together Xerath sarcophagus is used as a sort of amplifier for the sun disc.

Also if you notice Xerath doesn't have sand related skills but cosmic ones. And also, Ascended usually were common humans that were glorified through the ritual while Xerath was already a powerful Magus.
