@Riot Can we talk about the condition of Janna?

Janna

A lot of the older champions are receiving updates, whether it be gameplay-wise or visually, but there has not really been any discussion about where Janna falls as a priority and whether or not she is viewed as a champion that could use some adjustments. I've seen some discussion of other champions with Rioters chiming in, so I'd love to be able to talk about Janna.

I think the major questions I'd like to bring up are:

  1. Are there any gameplay changes in store for Janna in the foreseeable future (Ex: Adding an arrow after Janna places her Q-tornado so that players can launch her tornado more reliably)?
  2. Where does Janna fall as a priority in regards of visuals (New model? Touching up her current model? New spell effects? New animations? Things like that!)?
  3. Will Janna's dance be fixed (Her staff moves on it's own when she sets it down to dance!)?
  4. There were some new Janna ability icons that were implemented, but they're unused in the game. Will these or a new set be implemented at some point?

Any contributions to the discussion are welcome! Janna is my favorite champion and I want to help make her the best champion she can be. :)

Janna isn't the only champion whose weapon moves while dancing. And for 4 those icons seem to be a work-in-progress due to how Sona's icons have changed in lighting from that were implemented to todays.

Another champion in a similar spot would be Udyr, or... yeah Urgot too

Honestly, Janna is pretty fine, visual-wise. I play Janna when I'm not playing Annie, and I don't have much complaints on her kit. Charging her Q is kinda useless however, so if they were to focus on anything, it should be that.

The thing that bothers me the most is her lore. It's very hard for me to imagine small nano-bots helping her fly and create tornados, and I'm just super curious what they would look like. If they were to work on Janna, I'd hope it be on her lore.

The only issue if any with Janna is her visuals, which even then aren't terrible since she's gotten an VU a while back and then texture+color updates a little more recently. Her model is a little dated and could used adjustments since she falls under that category of models so old they're tiny coughKayleandMorgcough. Otherwise nothing is really wrong with her. Her game play is pretty smooth once you get the hang of her + she's fun to make enemies salty with for your mad peeling skills :^)
