Lux's Core (what does Rito plan on keeping?)

So, after Lux's VO update, it had me wondering: "what is going to change lore wise?"

With her new lines, she appears to be hiding the fact that she's a mage which are frowned upon in Demacia. On top of that, in the "Hour of Need" poster, we can see Lux holding onto a Helmet Bro as Galio appears. I'm assuming that her involvement in the military has either been amended to show more of a "support" role or that she's no longer in the regime to begin with. In fact, her entire point of being confused and conflicted over who SHE is and who everyone wants her to be may have went from freedom from the military to freedom of expression through her powers.

When Riot gets to her color story and bio, what do you think will change? What do you think they'll keep?

Before the retcon, Lux also used to be a spy/scout for the Demacian army, infiltrating into the enemy territory. Her Light Magic helps her escape from chasers, and I think she would use it only when she is forced to, otherwise risking to be observed by her own kind. I think she will still keep this role in her military life.

As about her Magic, I like to think no one, not even Garen, knows of her Powers. The idea of her being the "Witch" in the middle of the "Inquisition" makes her story a bit more interesting, and actually gives her more character than a "brain-washed-military-mage" that she used to be. Now she is fully responsible for her own actions, decisions, and not just "DEMACIA!!!".

And I hope she will actually be the one who exposes the "darker" parts of Demacian Society. I think she is the only who can present a somewhat neutral stance about the military, the duties of the high-class families, and the probably exaggerated rules.

About freedom, I think she will want freedom from the military a lot more than before. The Demacian military is formed mostly of Guardians, because it doesn't invade any nation. The fact that Galio awakens when Magic appears makes them very wary of it, and consider it a destructive element that must be stopped. So, if the military discover Lux's powers, she may be as well considered doomed.

This way, in the upcoming lore, while she may be forced to join the army , Lux now wants more than ever to just run away from everything dear to her, in order to be free to use her talents, and, most importantly, survive. We know her hiding cannot last forever, and if she doesn't choose to run away, her VO lines towards the enemy Demacians will come true : they didn't come to just have a fight, they came to hunt her down, like any "Witch" that threatens their Society.

Yeah I always found it strange that she attended the College of Magic in magic-hating Demacia - and while this is unrelated and not an actual complaint, does anyone agree that she has possibly the most disconnect between her described powers and in-game ones? Except maybe castle-levitating Syndra? Lux is supposed to be able to render allies invisible, steal opponent's spell techniques after seeing them just once, and probably more that I've forgotten. Thank god she doesn't have all that in game :P

a lot of things in the old Demacia related lore didn't make sense to me , there was a certain hypocrisy in their actions and methods and i found it so weird that every resident and champion agrees to it and don't see what is wrong with it! characters didn't seem to have their own personality and morals and felt like everyone is just brain-washed goons like garen that keep screaming the same thing over and over.

Fiora was one of the few people who decided to rise against such methods and actually showed some sort of moral grounds.i kept wondering where Vayne stands in all of this , what happened to Buvelle family? they don't seem like the type to just agree with government taking kids away from their families to re-write their thoughts and personalities! and Jarvan is not the washed up elitist we thought he would be according to Quinn.

now with lux changes , there is a certain contrast between lux and garen or shall i say lux and her family? which they might end up not agreeing with each other so much and result in a conflict , and by having Fiora's lore in mind (considering it doesn't change) this makes it more clear that Crownguard family is more of a Demacia's guard dogs and blind followers compared to other families of the country.
