Why are there no Dwarves in Runeterra?
T4R, I know yordles could technically count. However I see them as more akin to halflings/gnomes than dwarves. Has the champion design team ever thought about creating a dwarf champion?

On a slightly unrelated subject; I'd want to see a champion who suffers from actual dwarfism, just because I feel like it'd be interesting.
Probably because the moment you put dwarves in a fantasy setting, people start comparing it to Tolkien (same with elves really). Fantasy settings can be different from Tolkien like settings, and as much as I like dwarves, I am fine with no dwarf races in league.
Now a champion with dwarfism however, that is a different story.
LoL seems more interested in creating their own types of creatures. The exceptions are usually old champions like Trundle, Morgana, Kayle, and Nunu or eastern legends influenced champions like Ahri or Wukong, and I guess dragons like Shyvana and Sol which can be taken as new creatures of old legends depending on how you look at them.
While yeah, dwarves are pretty awesome, I can respect wanting to stay clear of the fantasy trio: dwarves, elves, and orcs.
I do wish they went more in depth with creatures that are not yordles, humans, and void monsters though. I rather like monstrous races, having 3-4 unique trolls would be neat. I suppose we're going to get about 5 Darkin eventually. But I've never particularly cared for vaguely immortal mystical magic things. I'd rather fewer God-dragons, vengeance spirits, and the like and more things like trolls. But that's just me. No reason not to have both.
There aren't any elves either.
