Edit: Good news everyone, Viktor gives no fucks about the cult seeing him like a messiah!

And the attack on Jayce's lab was driven by pragmatism, not revenge!

Edit 2: Viktor's color text is a wonderful slice of life piece. It's nice to see his "human" side. Also I was not aware that he still had a mouth, I assumed he had a speaker.

It's more than I could've dreamed off. Viktor harbors no malice, nor any ill will, the scene is so perfectly beautiful I almost shed a tear.

Edit: I really love the atmosphere of it. You can see the way Viktor thinks, you can feel that there's a lot of good in him but it may be alien, frightening even, for a lot of people, he's logical and yet he's somewhat emotional and what I absolutely love: He feels "warm" despite being comprised of cold, hard metal. He's a character through and through, with motives and a vision.

God, now I really need that LAST mastery 7 token for him.

Honestly his is definitely number 1 of the new releases and possibly number 1 of Zaun. Mundo is definitely number 2 in my book for the comedic portrayal of the character (though he's definitely a lot less intelligent than he used to be perceived as).

Oh it's definitely the best Lore piece we've gotten in this event. Vi is just badass, Warwick is bloody awesome too but this Viktor pice just had something...more.

It gave him character, it finally gave us a good look at what lies underneath that Metal mask of his, it gave him warmth and made him relatable, it was simply put: Amazing.

I think there was at least a bit of "revenge" in the lab attack, hence the "It was not - Viktor told himself - for revenge". There is a wee bit of his humanity left in him, and that probably still has a certain amount of influence on his actions - especially with something as emotionally devastating as losing all those people he was trying to save.

So here's something that I spotted and wondered about. Jayce & Victor's final joint project was on diving suits right? And Victor implemented a mind-control button for the operator should the diver start seeing weird stuff down there and 'panic'. Does anyone else think that sounds familiar? A man in a mighty Diving suit, that went down to investigate something...And got more than he bargined for and panicked, but wasn't allowed to do as he wished? Who would perhaps find that to fear or doubt does nothing but prevent one from moving forward? Nautilus , is that you I see in the depths?

Uhh, Wasn't Nautilus taken over by some dark "thing" in the water while diving and unless his colleagues cut him from the boat, he would've dragged it down to the depths with them?

That is the case, yes. I don't recall so much the part about him dragging it down to the depths with them aboard? I thought it more a thing of 'send him out to investigate' 'oh noes! This inky stuff is bad!' 'leave him behind, RETREAT!' 'no don't leave me here with that stuff!' 'you're slowing us down! GIT!'...Hrrm. I didn't think he was immeadiately taken over, but I do think the rest of the crew left him to die more out of fear then necessarily needing to. Either way, It's not something completely unsupported by lore-the divers DO mention that weird stuff is down there, it's just being assumed by Victor that it's basically the divers getting creeped out THEN seeing the scary thing, as opposed to the other way around... Though now that I think on it...Weren't the Serpents that normally protected Bilgewater gone because of the slaughter docks being really gross? Those might be involved in the 'creepy stuff' the divers are seeing.

It was some sort of "Black Abyss" (Hence AByssal Nautilus skin) That he and his team was sent to investigate. They got there, Naut went and put on the suit, and dove down looking for it, it got him, and was trying to drag him down into the depths. He was attached by a large anchor to the boat, so they cut the anchor and left him for dead.

I gave the Boards admin controls a prod, but it didn't change your icon (same for Sharjo). Personally, I think it knows that Pentakill is your true calling, just as Sharjo's heart is for Sona (though, I know Nautilus is also there).

Pour it all into a pan and heat it with constant stirring on low flame. Serve in mugs and enjoy.

If you want to be Metal like me add some rusty nails to the mix as well.

Maybe try to refresh your browser cache? Ctrl+F5 might do it (or Command+R for Mac). Does that help?

Oh, I was looking at the Zaun page and I kept scrolling through the Champion Bar and it never seemed to cycle around to Twitch.

It might be because he's not a "Champion" FOR Zaun, he just sort of lives there.

I would prefer if they kept him Zaun. Zaun seems like the home for mutants, freaks and accidents. The Steampunk crazy world where "Anything can happen" and dumb stuff like comic book "radiation" can still make someone a "super hero".

Where-as Noxus is more like a grimdark magical kingdom full of Necromancy and assassins and so forth, etc..

I don't want Twitch to just become another "Runeterra" person.

Besides Singed now there are no doctors at all in League universe that we can play.

We had a hyper intelligent being who was locked within his own mind while his basic instincts and lust for pain controlled his body, got turned into a semi-retarded monstrosity that just exists, just cause, and oh he likes pain.

It is pretty much the same but with a hint that Jinx may have been a very different girl at a young age.

I guess they kinda Eve'd Jinx, but I guess her full origins aren't important.

As a Sion main, this scares me as I'm worried they'll consider the same for Sion.

I love what they did with Mundo. I'm so glad they didn't try to turn him into a truly grimdark kind of character and instead kept him being a goofy kind of person himself BUT they made it so he's a goofy person that's learned things all wrong while having incredible powers and so his actions are horrifying and dark. It's perfect!

I loved Dr. Mundo's new Lore. I was terrified that they'd take a rather goofy comic relief character with dark undertones and pull the switch for FULL EDGE (gangplank). But they kept what I think people loved about Mundo, while still maintaining the darker parts of his Lore and not making him nothing but a catchphrase.

I can't really comment on Jinx, because I really don't like the character, so all my opinions are pretty biased. I will say, objectively, I feel like her new biography still didn't give much information as to her background or character traits, because there's not much we didn't know already.

Blitzcrank was always a character who didn't have a ton of personality, but I feel like his new Lore helps with that. He feels a lot like Zac now, he's a heroic figure willing to do whatever it takes to help people survive. And while that's a fairly simple character trait, it feels great, because especially in a place like Zaun, where everyone's scheming or going varying degrees of mad, it makes him endearing and likable.

Obviously, Viktor's the big one that people have been worried about. And this, I think, hits the community characterization of him perfectly. This is what it seems people have been asking for, and I like the way he's characterized. Viktor's greatest strength is the dulling of his humanity, but it's also his biggest weakness, and I think that was captured perfectly in the story, and his color text was fun too. If I have one complaint, it's that Jayce still comes up looking like an idiot. Jayce has been thrown under the bus for Viktor's sake in rewrites, new lores, etc. so many times, and I feel like it devalues his character a little bit if he keeps basically bumbling into the scene and slipping on a banana peel. It's a great Lore, but I feel like Jayce often doesn't come off as the genius he apparently is. That being said, rereading the story, I love the line from Viktor where he just assumes Jayce won't listen to reason. That's from Viktor's perspective, and he's probably wrong. If he is, and this could have been settled peacefully if these two could get over their grudge against eachother, it goes from "Jayce screws everything up again" to a tragic incident where countless lives are lost because these two can't get over their grudges. And I like that a lot, reminds me of Azir/Xerath.

Overall, this was an amazing set of updates, and I want to congratulate Narrative, again, on a revamp well done. I really enjoyed reading these, and I feel like they added a lot to the characters.

Im not sure about the new Mundo lore, he seems kinda retarded and now he's a criminal. While before he was an actually doctor who worked for the zaun officials and Zaunians actually loved him like a celebrity. While his backstory is better, his personallity is in a whole different ball park.

This is how Mundo always was. He was arrested for being a serial killer who experimented on himself, causing the super strength and the purple skin. He was released from prison by the Zaun government to fight in the League. Unless I missed a rewrite to his Lore somewhere in there?

In the joj they interviewed him for a newspaper article, where Mundo was walking down the streets casually and it gave insight into how the townspeople saw him too. He was kind of like a celebrity and his purple skin was something he could take away if he wanted to but it was something he was proud of.
