I can tell you right now, first I love the design, but 2 tabs I would add are

  1. stories: just a place to find all the written lore in one place, from stories like bloodline, to bios. would be great if you could see what's new at the top or something.

  2. music: just a tab that puts your vast collection of music in one place (that isn't soundcloud)

And also I hope you guys feature this site prominently on your homepage and in the client, and not just for the first week its out! I'd bet most players who didn't read bloodline or burning tides the week those came out have no idea they even exist.

completely agree -- we definitely want to make it easier to filter/search/discover the types of media you want, in addition to sorting by champion/region (as it is now)

Overall I am really happy about this addition. Some things that I noticed that are kinda odd are:

  • The most important thing I've noticed is likely that you missed a lore piece: The diary of the noxian who tried to capture rek'sai isn't on the page(not on rek'sais page and neither on the noxus,void or shurima pages)

  • There is also another lore piece that is missing: The color text that accompanied Ahris statue isn't there as well,though I guess this might be because the statue will be remade.

  • I'm a bit confused about the order of the champions on the faction-pages. Some ordered their champs from A-Z(Noxus,Shurima,Bandle,void,Bilgewater),some listed most of their champs in alphabetical order,but have a few who don't fit that order(Ionia,Piltover,Zaun,Demacia) and the others seem to be either not ordered at all.

  • Aurelion lists Runeterra as his faction,but the Targon site,still counts him as one of its champions,which wouldn't be odd if he wasn't the only one that gets counted towards a faction,even if he lists another one

  • Taric being counted towards demacia seems odd,I man I don't know what you have planned for him,but it looks like from this point on,his story will largely revolve around targon,not demacia,so shouldn't he be listed as a targon-champ,even if he comes from demacia?I mean Elise and Karthus are from Noxus(and Morde more or less too),but they are still listed as shadow isles champs

May I ask why let's say Riven is marked Noxian (even though If I recall well she has stronger bounds to Ionia) just because she comes from there but Annie is not marked Noxian just because she wasn't growing up there, but still comes from there?

There are more champs whose placement confuses me. And Targon feels so empty despite the fact there are champs who are connected to or have vibe that would really fit Targon (Alistar, Aurelion Sol, Taric, Galio...).

And to not make it look like I'd be disappointed: Cool job. It's wonderful to see all it on one place, good layout design, great arts :)

Riven still beliefs in the noxian ideals and it doesn't say that she stayed in Ionia,so it makes sense to count her as a noxian.

And Annie was likely born after her parents left Noxus,meaning that she never was in Noxus.

well I do now. It's interested that we get to hear about this. SO many champs feel like orphans or whatever, but it's interesting to think of their theoretical families they might have.

Like I bet Garen and Lux still have parents, something I haven't really thought about. This is very interesting.

Ekko having parents was an important detail when we were working on him - we specifically DIDN'T want him to be an orphaned Zaunite. I'm glad we get to see a story including them, and show off this other side of Ekko. Plus, FauxSchizzle really nailed it with the feels in this story.

Is this...Ezreal and Lee Sin lore?

Finally! Was getting really bored at work!

Edit: ok, so I count three new color texts. Ezreal, Lee Sin, and Cassiopeia.

Ezreal: pretty inline with his character as a cocky and smug explorer.

Lee Sin: wonderfully written fight scenes. Though I wonder how he deals with the mess.

Cassiopeia: took me by surprise. It makes me wonder if she hunts for pleasure and uses the victims of her target as an excuse or actually does care about them in some way. Perhaps both?

Anyone catch others?

Also whoever wrote that Ekko story, wonderfully done. The struggle of his character felt very realistic for a kid who made a time machine out of a box of scraps.

Thanks! It was an emotional piece to work on. Waaaargbobo challenged me to write a piece where Ekko did something different (we'd seen him fight, rewind, lose people) and casually threw out that the kid should have dinner with his family or something. I thought it would be interesting to see what that looked like.

And some interesting overhauls to the regions, including Zaun being directly underneath Piltover, as well as an actual description of The Void!

Demacia's still my favorite faction but now I get some awesome visuals to go along with it.

Riot is killing our wishes. Replays, Sandbox, Solo Queue, New Client and now a lore site. Actually even more that I high likely forgot to add to list.

Previous and current months are probably the best ones in entire LoL history.

Ultimate skin after 1.5 years, Winter Map, Long waited Doom Bots etc.

Riot worked pretty hard this year. They listened community nicely as well too. Even though some people say Riot does not care LoL community, this company cares about their community more than most of other companies do for their communities. They listen, care and contact more than some people actually think. Harsh for some haters but true.

FINALLY.

Now there are two things that are problematic: trending has now all dumped into it, so people almost missed the Jax or Tristana story. Generally, overlooking things is bad, there should be a list that shows all entries and edits by date of upload, so a new reader has at least some point where they should start once a ton of stories has piled up.

This is bitter sweet for me. Sweet because this is incredible. Bitter because that list that I made of all the stories, the list that actually took me a long time to make and format correctly, is no longer relevant.

That, and Sharjo's stickied page of where to find the lore, were both super super valuable to players in the long dark times before Universe went live - neither of you should feel like you didn't help people. I appreciated what you did (and how much effort it was), even if you feel a little sad now.

Sharjo, if you're reading this, will you be cool with me unstickying your thread in the near future? I'd always stated I'd sticky it as long as it was needed, and it was an absolute champ while it was. I don't want to make your efforts (and Tattersall's efforts) feel unappreciated!

Go for it; it's served its purpose and now there's proper tools in place to show where the lore is, so now it can rest in the bowels of the Boards archives.
