'Terrible Entities' are very likely to refer to the Void.
It might be something so remote that we'll never see the begin of it
Aurelion Sol existed since the universe was a dark place without a single star and creatures born in that enviroment are surely powerful and scary.
Honestly, it's probably just a teaser line for a new potential champion, like an alien or something.
Like Kog'Maw's infamous "Daddy's coming" or Jinx's line about "her sister", it's open-ended enough that if they want to make use of it in the future, the hook is there, and if not, well, it's a flavor line.
Well Aurelion could destroy the entire planet with ease if he wanted to do so and it was confirmed that he has siblings who have likely as strong as aurelion...

Im late on this but when you realize it is probably dark star skin teaser because I think it is a complete opposite to aurelion they destroy stars. Also he has a quote saying "Darkness is my only true enemy." Which in my opinion also refers to dark star skins.
Between the Targonians and the Void there are plenty of things out there that could fit his definition of "terrible entities".
Cthulhu, Nagakabouros soulmate, is confirmed (sorta). So Lovecraft Gods are (sorta) part of this universe.
