Riot, I think I understood the most important thing about kayle and morgana, in lore

I thought that morgana, who rejected her celestial origins was less close to the manifestation of justice. But with the new lore and the Q and A, I think that morgana is as much "justice" as kayle, but in a different way. What I mean is that although she rejects this power, her actions demonstrate that she is still acting for justice, in her own way. Thus, morgana, while rejecting her destiny, acts nevertheless unconsciously as an aspect of justice. Her mind rejects this, but she is constrained by her celestial nature to do justice. This explains that she has as many wings as kayle, because she too represents justice. Please Riot, tell me I'm right! (sorry for my bad english)

Hi! I think you've got it overall.

Kayle and Morgana are not technically Aspects of Justice -- that's their mother, who merged with the Celestial being and lost some of her own identity in the process.

When Mihira, their mother, ascended Targon, the Aspect of Justice chose her because she had demonstrated justice in her own life -- and because she was pregnant with Kayle and Morgana. Mihira did not know she was pregnant, but the Aspect did. The twins always had inherent qualities of justice, and this was part of why they were granted powers. Their views and beliefs of justice are complimentary and balanced when they work together, but opposing and even antagonistic when they are in conflict.

Thanks for the question!

Morgana doesn't act as an Aspect of Justice, she uses her powers to right what she thinks is wrong. Since Kayle and Morgana aren't directly Aspects, they regain their free will, so they're not bound to do something because of their celestial nature. Kayle chose to become closer to the celestial ideal of justice, Morgana does her own thing.

Kayle's ascension fully establishes her as the next aspect of justice (so comparable to diana/leona), while Morgana is far more human. Kayle embody's the celestial ideal of Justice closely, while Morgana has her own, more empathetic, version of the ideal.

What are you talking about? Kayle is the good guy, Morgana is the villain! Obviously.

I think you're missing the point here. Morgana never rejected her powers or the blessing of the Aspect. She rejected Kayle's blind adherence to the concept of justice that was authoritarian and taken to an absolute extreme by her sister. Morgana had always acted in the way she thought was right, helping people redeem themselves as her brand of justice, whereas Kayle would have rather burnt them on the spot. So she never rejected her powers, she rejected her sister's extreme ideals.

My biggest complaint about the entire story is this: Who the fuck is this random jackass that was Kayle's right hand man? Why does Kayle care for him so much, so much that when Morgana accidentally kills him, Kayle immediately brands her a traitor and breaks her bond with her? Was he her lover? The father of some unknown child? Like what is the importance of this random guy that Kayle's life views hinge on his life?

Coming from being a twin myself, my brother takes a lot of precedence over other people. He can be a jerk sometimes, he can do things I don't agree with, but he will ALWAYS take priority, and I am far more inclined to side with him than others if it came to that. There's a REALLY potent bond there between us, and it sounded like there was one between Morgana and Kayle as well - so just WHO the FUCK is this guy to Kayle that he is able to completely shatter a bond between twins?

I love the back and forth between the sisters and their lore. I am just disappointed in the visual changes they made to Morgana. She was so elegant and beautiful, and my absolute favorite champion and now she looks like a cartoon character. Please put her back, especially her Blackthorn skin that i spent quite a bit of money on.Morgana

The lore has a lawful good-chaotic neutral alignment conflict vibe. Howewer, it is twisted in a pretty clever way, bc Kayle's idea of justice feels quite strict, and Morgana's "evilness" is just she going her own way.

Also, I played Mass Effect and I got heavy Samara vs. Morinth vibes.
