Azir and Khari

I loved the story of shurima in realms of runeterra. We discover moreof the Azir's personality and I found it wonderful that Azir learns so much from this girl. I only have one question, maybe she's stupid but I'm french and the text is in english, so when azir says: "You have her eyes, you know, blue like sappires." I thought directly that it meant that khari was a descendant of Xerath, and therefore his forgiveness was even more beautiful, but "her" is for a woman. So I really want someone to explain me what he understood from this extract because I find it really beautiful and mysterious (and sorry for my English, [sg-zephyr] French are bad in languages I think;)
