In an Ask Riot not too long ago, it was said they want to make new announcers, but they won't be purchasable like skins and only available for events (Ex: DS Thresh announcer. Is there a big reason you won't sell announcer packs? Would it create any game balance issues or similar problems? I know a lot of people would buy them, and it's a very popular idea, so it would nice to have some context on why you won't be making any permanent.
That and permanent map skins seem to be the 2 biggest untapped sources of revenue. They have ward skins for crying out loud. While i have some that seems to just be a lack of vision on riots part.
I'd pay 10 bucks for a Thresh, Vlad and Swain announcer pack.
Honestly the skins and cosmetic department is hardly ambitious as is. The answer is quite obvious.
Gimme dat Sion Announcer Pack - I need more rage-filled screaming and roaring in my games!

Because those announcers were created for a special gamemode in mind... the things that DS Thresh says are not enough for all the gamemodes.
