Tahm Kench aand...Gnar?

So, the subtext of Tahm Kench is that a Bilgewater gambler (named Tahm Kench) was consumed by his own metaphorical "hunger"/greed and transformed into the current Tahm Kench, an entity that has had many other shapes and names before.

Then there's this thing between Tahm and Yordles being rivals, which has yet to be explained.

Far-fetched as it is, it struck me that there's one among the Yordles listed as his rivals that has something faintly in common with our dear catfish-man; Gnar. Namely, **he transforms into a creature preoccupied with a vice-like emotion. **

Tahm Kench is supposedly very old, so he's certainly not a new phenomenon; Gnar was preserved for a long time, so at least time allows for their conditions to, in theory, share a common origin. Gnar's transformative condition has never been explained either.

So what do you think? Is Gnar possessed by a Tahm-like demon, or is that too far fetched?

Isn't Tahm the embodiment of a person's flaws and shortcomings? Tahm doesn't seem to resent Gnar in any way in his taunt (if I remember correctly), other than the subtle hint that he wishes him gone. It's possible that Gnar isn't a suitable vassal for him, as being from another time period clashes with Tahm's current form. That's the easy explanation anyways. Maybe you're on the right track after all.

Gnars transformation is in his DNA. "The Rage Gene". Kinda like the hulk I guess

The thing about Gnar is that he is naturally a mutant. I don't believe that he is, at all, possessed so to speak, rather it is in his hereditary genes that make him a monster. When he gets angry, he mutates into a giant beast, to which he is like the Hulk of Marvel, where if he is angered, he, too, will transform into a monstrosity. Then again, Rengar discovered him and woke him up, so now he's a beast on the rampage.

However, that is something to think about because Tahm KenchTahmKench seems to present a similar manner, only that he's a monster because he simply is a monster. There is a slight chance that Gnar may have been possessed by his own anger in order to mutate into the Mega GnarGnar he will always be, but for now, rest assured, it is in his Biological Genome that makes him the cute (yet crazy monstrosity) he really is.

If Tahm was really possessed by his own Sin, than Possession is real, Riot makes a joke of it, and we all must run and hide.
