Interactions between Aspects and Void

Thinking about many lore related things, Targon came, as it is right now quite undeveloped in general, we don't know that much about aspects or why they are fighting against each other right now.

I feel that if a rogue aspect existed, one that hated the rest of them so much it would outright go against them, it wouldn't take the body of a worthy man/woman that managed to climb Mount Targon, but the direct enemy of the Aspects, a high grade Voidborn.

We don't really know if that's possible, aspects seem to be able to take over a body without any traces of coscience left, but could they really overtake a Voidborn? Would they get lost in the madness of the Void if they tried? Or would it mark the beginning of one of the strongest and most horrendous beings ever created in Runeterra?

looks at Noxus, Bandle City, The Glade, The Void, most of Ionia [zombie-brand-facepalm] But as for your main point, a rogue Aspect would indeed be very interesting. Also, the only aspect that completely took over a body was Pantheon; the rest are sharing a body with their host. Hopefully the new champion clears things up, as she is confirmed to be from Targon.

Targon is undeveloped for a region that just had a lore update

What's an aspect? Where do they come from? How many are there? Why are they fighting against each other? Why do they hate the Void so much? Can't the aspect of Leona and Diana create a channel between both instead of having Diana running behind her? Atreus is really dead? It seems so but no other aspect does a total takeover of its host but Pantheon . Why Diana isn't looking for Nami ? that pearl seems to have some kind of effect over the Voidborns

And those are some of the many questions left unanswered by the Targon lore update

I see your point. Targon's mystery is part of the charm with that place, though, so unless Riot throws us a bone with this new champ, we're not gonna get many answers.

Question, do you actually like the mystery of Targon, and think it’s geat as is, or do you just hope that it will be filled in interesting ways?

There is a point where mystery starts to be frustrating, similar to Amumu or old Eve, and Aspects and 0 explanation given about them gets quite frustrating, at least for me. They are literally huge fishes in the small aquarium that is Runeterra, space faring alien powerful civilization that managed to enslave the mighty Aurelion Sol, yet we have no clue about why they want what they want or do what they do. They want the Void out, is it because the Void might get bigger if it managed to devour Runeterra and then set eyes on the whole universe? Or is it that there is something really worth protecting in this World that we are unaware about, but its known to the godly aliens?

They dominate so many worlds that having one less doesn't really matter, I think that what can't fall in the Voidborn's grasp are the World Runes, as that would probably empower the Void to really dangerous levels, but we don't really know, as we don't know anything about them, it seems that they were just added to glue together the champions of Targon and more or less explain their supernatural powers

Oh I agree. I actually hate the new Targon lore. I think it is horrible. Possibly the worst thing Riot has updated.

However, I’m not trying to impose my beliefs on others. Helixarrow’s comment implies he likes it. I’m trying to see what the appeal is to him.

I’m gonna be completely honest, I started playing around the time Yorick got reworked and never knew the old Targon lore. While I agree that the concept of the Aspects themselves is extremely vague and needs elaboration, the human vessel idea appeals to me and makes logical sense. If you were a god, you would want followers to do your bidding, and how better to partially or completely take over a human body? They also have access to materials that are able to enslave a space dragon, although they played to his hubris. I believe they are planning an invasion of Runeterra, but first they have to eliminate the only major threat remaining; the Void. I want and NEED to know more about the Aspects themselves though, and I’m hoping that the new champ isn’t a vessel like Leona or Diana or even Pantheon, but the actual Aspect themselves taking physical form.

Alright so if I have you right, you find the concept of the godly space empire interesting. But the mystery doesn’t seem to appeal to you, you want to see it all fleshed out.

Soon. Soon. I think Swain VGU will be a Noxus update. And I kind of hope new champ is the Glade.

Just because other regions are just as or more underdeveloped, doesn't mean Targon isn't.

Targon isn't underdeveloped, rather not everything was revealed to us, we weren't given less than what we originally had.

Remember, Runeterra isn't the only planet under Targon's jurisdiction, it's entirely possible the Aspect that sowed the seeds of chaos amongst the Targonians, has a host from a different planet ( Morgana theory incoming). Just because there is disagreement between two sides that doesn't mean automatically the' rogue Targonian' would resort to the Void, this doesn't make them a rogue but rather straight up evil.

Though an Aspect corrupted by the void would be interesting to see.

I'm kinda hoping that the two sister ( Kayle Morgana ) become the reason why the Aspects are fighting against each other, but we don't really know, they might even end up as celestials.

What else can a Rogue targonian do to oppose the rest? No idea, because we don't know how they work in society, or what they are truly capable of. Resorting to the Void isn't being evil if you think that you can control a powerful host and use it against those that are attacking you. You wouldn't be siding with the Void in any way, but an Aspect infused Voidborn would be something quite dangerous, even for other Aspects. Thing is, that we don't really know if one can get into the mind of a Voidborn without going mad, like if it looked into the Void itself, Are they inmune to the lure of the Void?
