In Regards To Malphite

With the retcon death of the Institute of War(IoW) in our lovely lore, Malphite is now just a random rock with no real purpose. So what is/should his new story be? Where is he from? What is his cause? Below are some of my not so fleshed out ideas.

Malphite, The Face of Targon:

Malphite is a sentient rock being that was once part of Mt. Targon; Motivation - idk yet. Theme - Targonian

Malphite, The Tectonic Crusader:

Malphite is the will of the earth/planet incarnate seeking to destroy/collect the world runes to prevent the ruin that they cause. Theme - Lava and Rock Plates

In regards of gameplay i think it could be fun, if they'll make Malphite be terrain. Moving terain. So you could use Poppy's E to stun enemy at(on?) Malph. And you could parkour over Malphite as Talon :)

I like the idea of a Targonian Malphite, if he had this theme when he gets his eventual VGU he could look really cool. They probably shouldn't keep the idea of the Monolith and Malphite being from there unless they flesh out the lore of it.

This could work with a theory of mine about the spirits of Runterra. If this is the case(and my theory is true), we have... Anivia-Freljord Brand-Shurima Malphite-Targon Janna-Ionia? Zaun?

Malph could be an ancient targonian golem made with crude but potent magic who has no purpose and must find one for himself. Although that might be too close to galio and blitz lores.

His back was the old Summoner's Rift. He got mad he got replaced and is trying to destroy the new rift.
