Dear Lore team - NOT a whine and complain thread

Lore team, could you give us information on jinx's past? Because all we know is that she's from zaun and now is in pitlover destroying stuff, what is her relation to ekko? And who is jinx's sister? Why is jinx crazy?

Ekko grew up in the slums of zaun, he knew both vi and jinx, but how come they don't know each other? He had a crush on jinx, but when did he? Ekko is a teenager, I assume that jinx is also a teenager, but people say jinx is older than vi. Ekko knew vi when she was in gangs.

Who is Caitlyn's arch nemesis "C"?

I'm really curious about these stories and hope the lore team would update their lores'

Welp, this is what Riot said about Ekko, Vi, Jinx.

From oldest to youngest, it goes Jinx, Vi, Ekko.

J.V.E come from different neighborhoods. If they were all from the same gang or neighborhood, it would make the world seem (tiny)

Ekko's knowledge of Vi and/or Jinx either stems from their renown or notoriety from when they were still in Zaun or purely because he crossed paths with them once or twice (especially Vi if he acquired a piltover clock hand as a weapon)

Also, if we ignore the idea of "shipping" and love (as much as I would love to have them together) the "I use to like a girl, til you started talking to the guns," could be taken as, "You know, when I first met you, like, 15 seconds ago, I didn't know you were uh...'eccentric'?"

The comment is probably geared to his random bid of disappointment or surprise when Jinx actually started talking to Fishbones.

Any comments towards Vi might be procced from him learning that she was in a gang, so he's just like "Why would you even bother with Piltover?"

But yeah. No idea who Jinx or Vi's respective sisters are (it is not each other, mind you).

No word or clue on who "C" is. The only thing people can go off other than the theory that Caitlyn is cray-cray and is her ultimate nemisis, C is from Zaun as the others are roman numerals.

Vi- VI -6 Jinx - X - 10 Ekko - XII - 12 "C" - 100

Something like that, but yeah.

On a different note, when Jinx and Vi were first released I've always thought of them as sisters but not biologically from the same mother but more as super soldiers created in Zaun, born from the same plant (think Cloud/Sephiroth).

Ekko and 'C' doesnt quite fit into this but given Vi and Jinx seemingly having no idea on their pasts and being incredibly powerful humans of little training with a penchant for destruction/combat i can only assume Zaun was trying some genetic engineering to help themselves combat all the other city states since on the scale of an organized army, Id say Zaun places last.

I won't lie. I will never be able to properly rationalize the super soldier theory for both Jinx and Vi. Especially when Vi's "super strength" is all in the fists she made. And Jinx...eh. In all honesty, they make it sound like she's an impulse driven individual who thinks ahead far enough to have a last second plan of how to escape while she's having her fun.

that, and I don't think Jinx actually needs actual weapons training to at least know how to go crazy with a machine gun as long as she's able to pull the trigger on it (while it's not on safety)

Any mad man can can gun people down or blow buildings up, true but Jinx is notorious because she can do this consistantly against the most advanced citystate and get away each time? You've stated Jinx isnt a planner/thinker, and i agree so this means Jinx has to elude the cops with unnatural energy and strength.

I dunno, its just the only angle for Jinx/Vi i can see working for them (lorewise). I could be horribly wrong but we'll never find out until the Zaun event happens. :/

I think Jinx is one of those characters where her past being explained would be a big important thing in a story focusing on her; that's why we'll have to wait for that story to come out, if it will.

Well, who knows. Maybe it's less of "she was experimented on" and more of the fact that she's naturally slippery. You know, that or she got a hold of WAY too much shimmer(it's a drug. In Zaun).
