So....the wonder above teaser....is about the new champion. But it tells stories of events that have occurred on League of legends,

  • The first are the watchers and freijord event.

  • The second is shurima and the ascension event.

  • the third one however is a mistery for me....it says something about a king that have overcome the power of shadows , so its this a new teaser for an shadow islands event? Or maybe a new teaser for Bilgewater event? -you may see like waves on the crown-

It is referencing the Shadow Isles, and the cataclysm that destroyed it. The Ruined King tried to break the barrier between life and death, consequently ripping apart the natural order and condemning his kingdom to unliving torment, hence why that part of the promo states "the powers that govern life and death are not to be trifled with."
