@Riot, can you please hype up new champions more?

I don’t know about other people, but lately I haven’t really been feeling too hyped up about any new champions. And I feel like they should start hyping up champions like they did with Kindred or Jinx. I wasn’t around for Jinx’s reveal, but I was for Kindred, and they had a lot of teasers and stuff, and it got me so hyped. And I did look up all of Jinx’s teasers, and she was extremely hyped from what I could tell, the website graffiti, the wanted posters, the music video. I just want to feel excited about new champions again.

Edit: Just to clarify, I don't mean they should do it to EVERY new champ, that would be a lot of work, but at least every now and then would be nice.

Edit 2: I’m also not saying they should make more champs/less champs. No where in my post does it say anything about that.

I feel ya

I remember Kled 's teaser in-game, which had my head in multiple directions, all hyped up to see what the actual creature was. The posters were really cool and innovative too.

The others had voice lines in-game, like AurelionSol on abyss and Ivern in the jungle. Hearing them made you wonder what type of character they are.

I don't like these "image in reav3's roadmap" teasers, just feels forced and uninteresting. Imagine how much cooler it would be if kayn's teaser was rhaast hanging over your head occasionally, rather then just an eye..

TBH, I didn’t even know Aurelion and Ivern even had teasers lol I was active at that time too. 😬

Also I really liked Kled’s teasers! It was awesome. Sad to think the last one like that was his release two years ago.

His was excessive hype.

When they start messing with another champ's page to show them dying in a beautiful way, people will start making a bunch of different theories.

First Garen...then Vi...Sona...and (I forgot who)

Now people are trying to figure out what all these people have in common. The answer...not a damned thing.

That lasted for a week or two...then comes the video.

The orchestra. The beautiful deaths. And at the end...all you see is are eyes, then the mask...and then someone disappearing into the darkness.

Then...people got pissy.

Cause he took 4 weeks without build up. XD And then he was released.

because we don't need new champs, we need fixes, re balances, etc., shit riot doesn't know how to do, this game is dying, fast, i guarantee its down to at most, 1 million active players (down from 20) because of their terrible team

But they have different teams for a reason, the lore team and stuff like that don’t work on balance and bug fixes or whatever, they work in their own area, it has nothing to do with them needing to fix that stuff, and even if we don’t need new champs, they’re still making them, so might as well hype us up about em.

No, we really shouldn't, they should really take a hiatus from making champs for 2 years and get the game balanced, its not fun trying to play the game against an aatrox that wipes the floor and goes 76/1 because your mid laner and jungler fed him and now theres nothing you can do because scaling, and overtuned stats, or an irelia that gets a penta kill every team fight, its not in a healthy state anymore, they need to pull the whole game apart and rebuild it from the ground up

I think it’s pretty obvious at this point that riot isn’t gonna take a break from making new champs. Also I never said anything in my post saying they should make new champs, I’m just saying if they’re going to continue making champs, then can at least hype them.

No, if we don't hype up champs and stop spending money on their skins maybe riot will calm down, a new champ every month is not healthy for the game, i don't want hype for them and i doubt many others want it either

Lol Dude, I never said anything about them making more champs. Also I really doubt people are gonna stop buying skins... Just saying. And I never argued against them slowing down the process of champions being released.

I'm not saying that they should make it for every champ, that would be an insane amount, but the last one I personally felt hyped about was Kindred, and I'm pretty sure they haven't been working on maps for that long.

Well yeah I don't think the map took that much time either. It feels like they were just working on it ever since around Kai'sa's release.

Not really because the new champ team are usually the guys that make the teasers.

The map is just the art/story team.

Unless everybody literally gave up on their champs and reworks just to write a map..

I was talking about the art team and stuff like when they make teaser pages like what did for Bard Ornn .

I thought the champ team just works on the kits of new champions and reworks while the art team, y'know, focus on the art for the new champions and reworks.

The last time I got hyped for a new champion/VGU was Swain. The last time Riot did something to hint at a new champion was Zoe, and that was really just putting a chance for her bubble to hit someone in fountain at the start of the game.

So yeah, I'm definitely up for them doing more like that.

I'm happy they don't. If they hyped up Kai'Sa like they did Jhin, Kalista or Jinx, it would've made the disappointment worse

Would also like to see some cool teasers for new champs,however they shouldn't be dragged out too much.

Jhin had some pretty epic teasers,but after a while I lost quite some interest because he just took extremely long to get released.

Y'all remember the Elementalist Lux teasers and everyone was speculating what all the bubbles were about? Damn I really wish Riot would go back to actually appreciating and valuing their work by making their releases feel unique and special. Nowadays it feels like Riot's tryna pop out as much content as they can without putting much effort in their actual releases. Quite frankly it takes away from making their content feel special.
