In a few months, it'll be 2 years since Illaoi got a skin besides her release, and it's been over a year for Aurelion and Taliyah. I know they aren't really popular right now, but Jhin has 3 skins already. (Don't get me wrong, I love Jhin.)

SociopathFriend12 votesBigger fish to fry probably. I imagine they work on skins that are the most wanted/needed/cost effective first and then when they have a good period of not a lot of work they try to hit one of those goals they had but never had time for.
Speaking of which, most people probably want a Yorick skin with different particles and whatnot- not just a color swap. That's not just new effects like most champions- that also includes: new textures for ghoul, new textures for wall, new texture for ghost-mama, and so on. Yorick takes more work than the average champion.
And if you want a REALLY nice skin, that means new models for all 3 of those things as well, plus Yorick himself.
Don't get me wrong, I want a Yorick skin too, but he's probably one of the harder champions to make them for.

Void Kaiju1 votesElse has effectively 3 models, herself, spider form, and her spiderlings. Outside her human form her models don't have that much complexity to them. Yorick (with 4) has himself, his W, his ghouls, the Maiden, and is much more particle-heavy than elise in terms of model.

talyiah skins should be a no brainer imo (any hard elemental skin like water, crystal, fire obsidian)
aurelion sol might be a bit tricker, the only one i know that would be an easy skin would be to make an Ao Shin skin (thunder dragon) but i feel like how aurelion sol moves and his hurtbox and abilities it would take soooo much work to make him a skin

I feel like we’re tackling some major pain points this year and feel confident committing to you that you will be receiving skins for Cassiopeia, Viktor, Yorick, Illaoi (and more) over the next 12 months. We know there are others you would add to that list; they are likely on our list as well.
That limit has since been shortened to 9 months. Big timeframe ≠ Long wait
Also, you can't use Jhin as an example; he only has two skins that were within Riot's control to make. The SKT T1 skin was requested by Bang. Part of the reward for winning Worlds is choosing which champion gets the esports skin.

Star guardian Taliyah- this is a tougher sell but I personally would still want Taliyah to be good and positive character, her particles are a bit tough to work with in the SG line tho
Some other champs to consider
Program Cassiopeia- she hasn't had a skin in 5 years and it'd be nice to give her a skin that wasn't just another kind of snake, make her a robot lol
Dark star tahm kench - his maw is a star swallowing black hole from which nothing can escape, give him a galactic vibe
Bloodmoon yorick- his spade shovel and cloak of shadow are very distinct and I think this is a good theme to give yorick an alternative color palette that shadow isles champs rarely get (its why I love bm kalista and thresh)
