@Riot, Cassiopeia's Transformation

Why did the curse transform her? Why didn't it kill her? Why didn't it stop her *before *she opened the door?

I can think of two possible explanations.

  1. When she opened the tomb the guardian's curse wasn't meant to kill her; it transformed her into it's new guardian. Maybe this could be similar to Skarner's new guardian duties under the desert. The weakness to this theory is, there's nothing to guard there anymore; She had already opened the door.

  2. The curse was meant to kill her. It isn't elaborated what happened to her after Xerath escaped. Maybe he saved her from dying but the curse still transformed her. This would explain their tags as allies. The weakness to this theory is, the venom was shown to transform her right away.

Would you mind elaborating what happened?

Best Regards, Solideus

I like to think that Cass was no ordinary woman and somehow with her royal blood and knowledge of dark magics (we don't really know who Cass was before her transformation so maybe she was interested in magic?) she managed to control the curse so it wouldn't kill her but it still changed her, she regrets it a bit but her new shape is nothing to be ashamed specially since she gained an unique power and we all know what power means in noxus...
