It seems like Riot is slowly hinting at something very large involving the Void.

I've noticed that riot has been dropping regular references to the void for some time now, without really addressing it directly. Most recently with the Nami comic but going back as far as the Shurima and Mount Targon lore updates. Could they be foreshadowing a void event some time in the not so near future? After all, it's been a long time since we had a new Void themed champ, and nearly every other major aspect of the lore has received a large update of some kind. Personally, I'm hoping that Riot is saving the best for last, with a Void event that really shakes up the status quo on Runterra and advances the plot of the setting in a significant way.

Or am i just reading too deep?

I feel like it's more just establishing that "Yeah the Void's a thing that actually affects people" instead of "It's a weird thing that's a mystery...". I mean if we go back a few years, the Void and the Shadow Isles both kinda just did nothing. They were just there with little substance, but nowadays I find myself hard pressed not to think of these two forces as things that are actually dangerous or in any way an active threat to Runeterra.

The Void is basically the White Walkers.

It's this huge threat that one guy (Jon Kassadin Snow) worries about while people fight over petty shit.

Similar to Lissandra in the Frejlore, Sejuani is too busy beating her head against a rock to team up with Anivia and Ashe to stop her.

As far as I can see The void is the great big ultimate evil being hinted at while everyone fights all the 'lesser' evils It's your standard dark realm filled with eldritch abominations whose sole purpose is to consume all of creation I also do believe that the void will be the last region to be recanted and we'll be given just enough details to get a condense picture of the void and its denzins while still keeping us guessing

I've been saying it for a while but the void is basically the ultimate conflict in the League universe. Every single part of League is just building to that singular conflict.

I still feel the shadow isles is a bigger threat. The void is comprised of living monsters who can physically be stopped. That is a lot less worrying that ghosts/remnants/wrath's etc. Like imagine illaoi ain't around to channel nagakoburos to hold back the mist, any none heavy magic capable region would fall. Demacia with thier anti magic ways would likely suffer.

At least vs the void creatures they likely have vulnerable parts somewhere on them.

But back to the main topic, I sure hope you're right. A good void drop would be welcomed. To learn more of what makes the void actually work would be great. Guess we might find out after the Swain vgu/noxus stuff coming soon.

A void event should be at the very end when all basic lores in rune terra are explained, That way in the end, A huge void + Aurelion Sol Lore piece appears for the big bang climax!

there have also been a lot of hints with names not seen before in the little "did you know" comments during the loading screen, the one ive seen most is the ascended warrior queen setaka whos weapon is currently owned by sivir, if azir can come back from a multi millennial sleep why couldn't other ascended

id also like to see a void event that alters the rift alittle or maybe completely changes the way it looks for an entire season, with the end of season being that the void either engulfs runeterra or gets pushed back (leading to changes with the current void cast)
