@IronStylus. Is a champion model-size re-scaling still something that might happen?

Personally I think it would be a big win for aesthetics if the sizes were more to scale between one another. Right now some human champions are almost shorter than Tristana, for example. There are size differences between skins of the same champion in some cases.

Furthermore, have you talked to any gameplay folks about what the balance implications of pushing the size-differences a bit more would be? I guess hitbox-sizes might be a problem. Characters like Malphite and Nautilus would look much more intimidating if they were huge compared to other champions though, while others could be made smaller really.

It'd be interesting to hear your thoughts.

Best regards, Solideus

Can you provide examples of both these problems?

It's going to remain a hit box issue in the end... You just can't have huge champions visually and then not have matching hit box sizes... same as you can't shrink down normal sized champs and have that work. Hit box size needs to be pretty universal in order to be balanced.

If you make Nautilus like 4x his current size, he's gonna get hit by everything. If you shrink down all the humans, they will be basically impossible to land skill shots on.

As cool as it might look, you'd be sacrificing function for form, and it would literally break the entire game.

It's weird that one of the Blitzcrank skins is so short though... like I saw it on imaqtpie's stream and he was laughing about how he was smaller than most normal sized champs.... But again, it's because he's so wide. If Riot scales him up to be taller than humans, he's going to be so wide that he'd take up most of a lane.

If they just increase the visual size but leave the hitbox alone, people would complain about all their skillshots passing through the enemy.

You are talking about a competitive game. Gameplay will always come first and changing champion sizes, just to cater to lore or your OCD, while messing up hitboxes and visual clarity is the last thing you can expect from a serious e-sports company such as Riot.

A firm no, and do you know the fucking, pathetic reason for it?

All champions have the same hitbox. They can't do this and mislead people without making certain champions easier to hit. #RiotLogic

I really need a resized Vladimir. He's my favorite champion and it's a shame that he looks like a midget.
