Who are those kids on the memorial on that wall?

There's a kid with goggles. We even see the broken set on some random desk or table in the background while Ekko is fighting.

Hell, Ekko's face is on it as well. He's in the bottom right corner.

But wait...who's that girl? The one on the bottom left? With blue hair? And a single...braid...?

Ekko's in Zaun...

Jinx X Ekko confirmed!

But in all seriousness, it's possible, maybe.

Also, big guy isn't Urgot rework.

While not a direct answer, I cannot help but be reminded of the memorial wall in Spec Ops: The Line. It has the same makeshift quality, with graffiti-based murals and hand-made decorations out of junk and candles. Like someone felt the need for it to be there, even if the people in power didn't feel the same.

I wonder if it's the same case here? We know Zaun is heavily corporate, with many inventors scammed out of their fortunes by whoever is in charge. Viktor had Blitzcrank and the technology that revived Urgot stolen from him, Zac's parents had to kidnap him in order to avoid him becoming a corporate puppet, and so on.

I wonder if this is how Zaun's people honor the legends erased from history books by corporations.

Lets see and make some theories happen (from left to right): Obviously Jinx, before she got crazy from all the Zaun experiments placed upon her, Ekkos genius friend who was also an inventor who actually made the Chrono device, many other lost children and family members captured and later used for experiments (cause nobody would care about them, they are from the slums), including echo in the lower centered corner of the mourn wall, top right photo on the very right side looks like a younger VI (no VI tattoo on that small photo).

My theory is also that Ekko, his smart friend, Jinx and Vi were all part of a small group/gang of kids and were friends long time ago, before everything went to hell. Cause all three of his closest friends have the largest pictures, its almost like he painted it in memory of them (Vi probably went first, then Jinx, then his friend, cause the skill and style of the paintings got better and better over time).

GUYS, GUYS! I just found this link someone posted, Ill put the info here:

I don't know how to use imgur or anything, but I'll show you certain times to pause at during this "Ekko: Seconds" video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FtEpp9lkfxA

Some of the stuff said on here is speculation and just random things I found that intrigued me about the video. alot of the information may not be connected, but I believe some of it is.

The architecture and setting of the video look like what Zaun is described as. I believe it may be the subterranean levels below Zaun which is where Twitch lives and also which is supposedly severely polluted (which explains green smoke at 0:40). Also, Zaun is a place hailed for its techmaturgy and alchemy. The bioforged behemoth attacking Ekko would make sense to be in Zaun.

At 0:09, one can see 2 pictures of a man in a turban and an eyepatch: One in the top of screen in the middle & another on the panel in the middle of the screen at the bottom. I've done research into the lore of Zaun and Piltover and can't find anything on anyone with an eyepatch. The only champion (besides Rengar) with one would've been Urgot before his reconstruction WHICH WAS IN ZAUN.

So now we have established that the setting is in the underground sewer levels of Zaun, we can move onto the characters depicted in the mural and Ekko himself.

Zaun is stylized to be a biopunk counterpart to the steampunk Piltover. Jinx's clothes are described, by Piltover citizens, as being that which is common style in Zaun. Ekko has the same mixture of grunge and bio/steampunk that Jinx has.

At 0:21, one can see a picture taped to the face (which is believed to be Jinx because of blue hair, pale face, and creepy smile) that shows someone with short hair and goggles on forehead. Vi wears goggles on her forehead and has short hair.

On the panel parallel to the "Jinx" panel is a girl with a fuller face and purple hair. Being that Jinx and Vi are sisters, this definitely could be Vi. Jinx and Vi's lore both talk about how they were affiliated with a ragtag group of criminals when they were younger. Being that Piltover is right across Bluewind Bay from Zaun, it's very possible that Vi and Jinx would've been affiliated with Ekko.

At 0:22, one can see that all of the smaller painted faces on the mural at center-screen include one with spiky white hair at the bottom right. We can assume that this is Ekko's painting of himself. Who are the others? Well, I have heard that the one with goggles over the eyes could possibly be Viktor, which would make sense because Viktor is head of the Techmaturgy college in Zaun. As far as the other faces, we don't know who they are. Also, there are random doodles on the walls with insane faces akin to those which Jinx draws on her bombs and on walls.

At 0:36 in the video, on the crosshilt of Ekko's blade is seen the letters XII. What other Piltover native do we know that has something with roman numerals? Oh yeah, Vi! When Jinx was being teased, she vandalized Vi's champion page on the official League of Legends website and signed it "X was here!". X is the roman numeral for 10. Vi was number 6 in the group of ragtag orphans, Jinx was number 10, and Ekko was number 12.

At 0:40, one can see the full mural behind Ekko. The evidence shown above affirms the idea that Jinx is the big face on the left and Vi (purple hair) on the right.

TL;DR - Ekko lives in the Zaun subterranean sewers, where he and other orphans/ruffian kids would stay in community and support each other. The other orphans have all grown and moved on to other things in their lives. These orphans include but are not limited to Viktor (boy with goggles), Vi (mural on right), and Jinx (mural on left), and others who are depicted but not shown. His ability to control time causes him to not age (maybe) and that is the reason he appears so young compared to the other orphans. That is also the reason he has pictures of these orphans when they were younger. Thanks for reading!

Edit: I got back from class and am adding stuff which I didn't have time for before. Edit: Wanted to mention the clothing choice. Edit: Added Jinx's number in the group of orphans Edit: Took out the sister references since they are unconfirmed Edit: Thanks to /u/iamwumbologist for creating this google doc with some of the evidence I've compiled so far. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1QwQxukHycaljonQem2w4VSKxeffUTXCmFf-WsHyzfoc/edit?usp=sharing

inb4 Ekko is actually a part of a crime syndicate, and a villain.

Pre crazy jinx?

Ekko is actually on the wall too or at least i think its him. Personally I think the girl invented the tech and ekko just uses it. The girl is dead (broken glass is typically symbolic of death or something breaking in a character relationship but in this case death). Could be friends of his that are gone hence why he is obsessed with time

I think, as a memorial wall normaly os for, is for honoring people who have died in war, or by accidents. Its seen before in time, where if a city gets hit by a plague over time, then people who died will get honored by people who takes picture of the persons from alive and puts on a monument. It could be the same thing here, and it might have been the homeless of Zaun who died of an unknown reason, and because they still were people they should be honored.

And because they were Ekkos friends he spents the most of the time at the place where they honor them.

The face on the left....I thought it was jinx....turns out to be another person with blue hair

DudieRudie7/5/2015, 6:20:49 PM1 votes

Jinx X Ekko is nearly correct. In one of hes ''hidden'' taunts to jinx he says ''I had a crush, until you started talking to the gun'' so he must have know jinx, and Vi as a taunt to her says ''Hey sellout'' ''You forgot your roots Vi'' ''You used to be cool'' ''You'll always be zaun to me'' (Is this a reference to Vi being the kidd with the glasses? She does have glasses on when you play her, with all kins, and in her splashart the glasses looks a bit like them on the desk) ''One day you'll come back to Zaun''

Asul5/11/2015, 7:19:06 PM1 votes

I believe the kid with the goggles on was once the owner/maker of the time travelling device.

The girl with blue is probably Jinx

I'm sure it'll all get explained. Just like we got more on what happened to Kalista and turned her into what she is after her cinematic, or that clarification on Bard's background after his cinematic... Oh wait. We'll get 3 sentences top, and I doubt this will be among them.
