Kayle, Mt Targon and the Protector

Since Kayle&Morgana's rework I found it very strange that any lore regarding Mt Targon was intentionally avoided with their interactions. Especially after how much their teasers hinted at a Targonian connection, the teasers on their own could have convinced you they were going to be Targonian champions.

Referencing Targon as the origin of Kayle and Morgana's power and heritage, but focusing their lore as the 'gods' of Demacia and their place in the universe as Demacian champions. It made sense, just because Targon is Runeterra's source of celestial power doesn't mean other regions cannot borrow from it and incorporate it into other cultures without Targon having a part to play behind the scenes. This was supposed to be what made Demacia 'successful' where Shurima failed.

However, in Kayle's lore she returns to Mt. Targon supposedly in attempt to access Targon prime. So why the lack of interactions with the Targonians, and celestial champs overall? Pantheon Leona Diana Zoe Soraka Bard AurelionSol Taric. Taric, the one champion meant to have the most in common with Kayle and Morgana, having connections to both Demacia and Targon.

Something interesting to note, Taric is a demacian born Aspect known as the Aspect of the Protector, in Demacia Kayle is the Protector. Coincidence or a lore hook?

A question we must now ask, did Kayle actually make it to the celestial realm, Targon prime? Or was Aatrox right, that Kayle, was not worthy.

From what I remember from Kayle and Morgana's AMA, they decided not to include Targonian interactions because they wanted to focus on them being Demacian, and their views on justice. Though, I'm gonna admit I'm a bit disappointed by their interactions, it's the only negative point in their VOs to me, they are rather... Lacking. But anyway.

Taric embodies the Celestial concept of the Protector, while Kayle is just the deity they named Protector (it probably stayed from the original Winged Protectors). Arguably, Taric being influenced by Demacian faith may have influenced the Protector's decision of choosing him, but I'm not sure, given the Winged Protector and the Celestial concept known as the Protector seem to have very different ideologies. I'm unsure if Taric will play a role in K&M's reconciliation tho. Some would argue that he will, some that he won't. I'm personally not fond of the idea, as I'd rather them working on their issues on their own but well, only time will tell!

And last but not least, I'm fairly certain Kayle did make it to the Celestial Realm. She's probably been training with Targon, becoming their perfect little soldier... But isn't she blinded by her admiration towards them...? Are they as perfect as she thinks they are...? :p
