We have one updated Yordle lore, what about the rest? (Yordles and Bandle City)

Veigar's lore update was a surprise and very well done. But so many Yordles just have nothing in terms of lore anymore. Rumble is like 3 lines.

I would love a big update for all Yordles as some of the Bandle City ones are extremely lacking in identity.

Here are some of my ideas/thoughts on both Bandle City and Yordles:

  • The realm they come from is called 'The Glade', it's overflowing with magic, Bandle City is the home of the Yordles, you can never get lost in The Glade as Bandle City is "always just around the corner".

  • In Veigar's story it's mentioned "after the great darkin war", which made me think, there are actually no Yordles (not counting Gnar) associated with ancient Runeterran civilisations, Piltover, Demacia and Noxus being modern ones. Meaning Yordles only came to Ruenterra properly after those wars ended.

  • Veigar's Glamour seemed quite strong. Morderkaiser saw through it but the other magicians of the Order seemed to not, yet they are attuned to magic. YET Ezreal can apparently see through Heimer's (see his voice line), which doesn't seem right, he's a guy with a stolen gauntlet. Glamour as a magic needs to be made more consistent. For example, in small crowds or not when focused on, Yordles are not seen as Yordles but in larger populations it's harder to sustain this, so Heimer created a concoction to strength Ziggs and his Glamour for living in Piltover (see comic), unless the specific person is of a magical nature. I mean many of league roster actually shouldn't know Tristana is a Yordle for example, best examples are baseline humans from Piltover like Vi, Cait or Jayce.

Things I don't want:

  • Don't just make it that they are influenced by their surroundings taking away from their own achievements. Yordle's must be themselves, they need their own characters, Kled shouldn't be Noxian because of of Noxus, if anything he should have influenced Noxus, same with Heimer. But they do naturally seek out like minded civilisations.

  • They are no in anyway related to Mt Targon or Ascension. You've had your fill Riot, enough.

What are your thoughts?

Rioter confirmed that yordles existed long long before humans but from we are seeing they might have hid themselves in the spirit realm or always lived there

I would not take in game voice lines as proof of him seeing the glamour, tons of champions have voice lines for yordles... but im pretty sure that that is because yordles in game do not use glamour

If the upcoming flower mage is a Yordle, it may herald in Bandle City lore. Additionally, (I pray this might be truer) if they decide that Corki should be VGU'd after Kayle, that could also usher in Bandle City lore. Corki is a bit of a hideosity at the moment, and he's the only remaining Yordle that doesn't look like a Yordle.

Plus, it'd be nice if he and Rumble had some connection. They're both hamsters piloting mechs, after all.

They may have just been hiding in bandle city during the wars?
