Project Music Inspirations?

Now -when Project Zed & Friends came out, I HEARD some folks say that Warframe as a game was an inspiration. A lot of people denied it, and said that Metal Gear Solid was the sole inspiration. I agree MGS was definitely apart of Yasuo. But now I am sure, now that I've actually started playing Warframe I think it was apart of Zed and the Project theme music. Now the tagline for Warframe was always "Ninjas play free" and the theme was basically cyborg ninjas IN SPAAAAAACE.

And here is the Ash warframe. Zed http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Ash His abilities are also reminiscent of Zed. Including the "Death Mark" ability by name (lol Zed having come first though)

Hey Dreamspitter! While I can't speak for Zed's design, the music for Project Yi was not inspired by the Warframe soundtrack. It's possible though, and probably likely, that both were inspired by similar 80s/tron/analogue synth genres. These arpeggio and pattern based musical components are quite common in those styles. Reading your post was the first time I actually got a chance to listen to Warframe's music.

Wow , a composer. I'm really surprised to hear back from a Rioter. This is a genre I know very little about -but there is in fact a retro vibe that has become one of those iconic parts of scifi. The roots of things can go very deep and stories, games, and art can share influences even if not directly between each other.
