Hm, Its an alternative leona. Its a if Leona existed in a world where old gods existed and corrupted the world twisted it. And she is the hero of the light the one to bring them down and end the age of darkness.

's zealous nature is that blown out of proportion considering her upbringing in the Rakkor and the Solari. To the Solari the Lunari could be much more than simple heretics, we are talking about a history between to 2 religions where one purposefully chose to snuff the other out of existence.
The Solari were not opposed to the views of the Lunari, their were opposed to their existence, imagine the ways in which the elders would have manipulated the Solari to cover up this dark past and slander the Lunari. I think Riot has laid the ground work for interesting stories with Leona and Diana to unravel the bad blood between the 2 factions, or worsen it.

All Legendary skins are a bit different and offer a different fantasy. Look at Lee Sins' it is the complete opposite of how he is. And Riven works great as the Dawnbringer because she is so full of the conviction while normal Riven doubts herself.
Way more interesting than taking the champ and changing their outfit only. They feel newer this way.
Skin lore has nothing to do with real lore, especially on legendaries which can be entirely changed from the base champion.
That's just the eclipse skin line and that's the theme. You are always welcome to use the other non legendary skins that retain her normal theme.
But a skin is an alternative form of the original champ, so yea, it will be a bit different. \
What i wish is though, she would talk alot less in this new skin line. Feels like she has alot to say every second i click the damn move command.

Actually i like her more, because of this. U know, it's more human.
Because Riot loves Diana. They are all out to make Lunari to wonderful. Riot thinks nothing of someone who likes Leona and Solari.
Compare God-King Garen to Base Garen.
It's a different reality Leona.
