This splash paints the story of am noble corruptant; one who was born of a system who faced the dark star with nobility and pride, even as it destroyed them. It retained their valour and righteousness, carrying that conviction with it such that it would not be a great destroyer of systems, but a defender of them, protecting the universe's equilibrium with it's almighty cosmic power. An enemy to the dark star's current host of horrors, this one stands for the preservation of life, rather than it's decimation.

Or at least that's the vibe I get from the splash. It might just be head canon, but the way Jarvan's just beholding the system in his hand, not carving it up, shattering it or consuming it, feels more noble than anything we've seen out of this series before, and contrasts nicely with the destructive nature of the prior corruptants of the dark star universe.

Colour me impressed and hyped by this skin. An idea I couldn't have conceived in my wildest dreams that feels pretty well executed imo.

I just re-read your first comment. I totally forgot about the "set" thing, but it'll always be there. I dont think he would ever get a purple not dark star skin cause that would be too close to his classic skin.

True, but with those 2 champs their kits at least fit having a black hole effect nicely, J4 doesn't fit having the effects or the whole "dark" thing nearly as well.

I get that its been a long time for poor J4 mains skinwise, but honestly they coulda picked something that fit him better AND done something that fit the Darkstar line better.

Also they probably just wanted to make a J4 skin,the dark star theme was simply the coolest thing they could come up with.

Her ult as a blackhole would be amazing. If you look at Varus and Ori, they aren't necessarily evil like Thresh/Kha, but their effects beg for sweet particle effects. J4 as mainly melee is a really kind of a waste of potential for that.

I get that J4 mains have been waiting waaaaay to long for skin, but seriously they coulda picked something better for him. Hell I'd rather see Janitor J4 smacking people with a mop than this. (on side note though wouldn't that be a hilarious april fools skin line? Him, Tryndamere, Riven or Yi or someone all as janitors? Or maybe Groundskeeper Yorick lols).
