So that infact means that the entire city of Demacia is one massive magic nuke. If some one manages to releasse all the magic that Demacia's petricite has been storing since its creation, i think it would even greatly scar even Aurelion Sol .

And i would even imagen Sylas himself wants to do that. It would be the most ironic of fates for Demacia. The city built in hate for magic will be destroy by its very own magic.

But then also, the petricite forest Ryze stores the world runes in must be a ragnarok class planet destroyer bomb.

From the way I see it, Petricite is sort of like a sponge sitting in the sun for magic.

While you can throw a ton of magic at petricite, over time it'll just "decompose" and the magic will be released/evaporated into the world without any real harm done. Just like a sponge sitting in the sun, eventually it'll go back to being dry. The problem is that Sylas is/was so overflowing with magic that he was not only able to surpass the absorption capabilities but use it as almost a battery to better power himself and store more power than his body could handle.

The big question we'd need to ask/Riot would need to answer is if Magic 'decays' over time. If it does, Demacia is relatively harmless. If it doesn't, Demacia is as you say: A megaton nuke.

Yes and Sylas seems to be the only known mage who can extract and wield other mages magic... Interestingly he can also use magic from things like petricite, who knows what more! So if he finds a way, rather knowledge on how to do that then runeterra is in big truble big big trouble! But for now everyone is safe because just because someone has the power to do something doesnt mean that they can just go and execute it.. So everyone relax.. The potential to nuke half runeterra is there but he still msut acquite more knowledge on petricite ( He did read books in prison to gain that knowledge)

Well thats what happens when a designer comes along and mary sues their character completely shattering whats established in the universe just to make his character U N I Q U E. Now there is a massive hole in lore, but hey, at least Sylas is cool.

Uhhh pretty sure it would more than scar ASol. He's a mortal space dragon and the nation of Demacia is currently holding the power of at least 4 world runes.
