Invetia's Medalion?

In the Darius comic, Quilletta picks up a golden medallion off of a dead guy. I'm not sure why she takes it -for some reason I don't see here as the type to loot dead guys.

This medallion shows up again around the neck of Invetia http://i.imgur.com/cqM51Hx.png

I'm wondering what the significance of it is and why she gave it to Invetia. It has some strange symbols carved into it. That and the panel makes it a point to unveil that she is wearing it.

The medallion is from Ionia and Quilleta took it most likely as a memento of Noxus unneeded brutality and cruelty towards innocent ppl.

There is a map of Noxus that shows Quilleta and Invetia having the same surname, quite possible that they are mother and daughter.
