Rift Mysteries: Where the F@$! did those Turrets come from?

Just Erratic here, your favorite guide to complete confusion!

Today I'd like to focus on one of the Rift's more mysterious entities: the undamagable, untargetable, unstoppable Nexus Turrets.

Clearly these beasts are of a different breed than the typical turrets littered throughout lanes everywhere. They're huge. They're indestructible. And most importantly, they do not give a rat's keister about your passives and items.

Wait, what?

That's right, Nexus Turrets are the only source of Pure damage in the game, which ignores things like Kayle's Ultimate which grants invulnerability, or the passive of Guardian Angel, which bestows resurrection powers to its wearer.

So, Lore-wise, why do you think this turret exists, who made it, and why aren't all turrets this strong?

It's probably built by the Magelords and what ever the blue side name was...that is too stupid to pronounce. Anyways they are mention in Aatrox lore and since summoner still exist in some extend I assume they built them.

They are normal turrets just built directly on top of a place of power. Hence why they are not just used everywhere.

Turrets don't exist_ at all_ in lore.

They didn't come from anywhere because the game does not exist in the Lore.

They were build from the very and only gods of the world to say "let' s avoid camping here".

Seriously, not everything needs to exist somehow in the lore 1:1. I mean laser-shooting turrets can exist, and maybe some laser-shooting turrets are more powerful than others, but that looks like generic stuff that could be found anywhere, especially in places with lots of magic.
