Shyvana's lore and Aurelion Sol

Originally dragons mentioned in Shyvana's lore were celestial in nature with the power to shape shift (her father had taken human form to be with her human mother), so it's no suprise to see Aurelion Sol being some sort of star deity. But if I recall correctly that part of her lore was retconned a while ago and runeterran dragons were reduced to normal terrestrial creatures no more special than a yordle. So is Riot retconning the retcon? Or are there two types of dragons, the celestial and terrestial kinds?

My personal guess is that Aurelion is a celestial being that has the shape of a dragon. In that sense there is only one type of dragon, being the kind in Shyvana's lore. For all we know Aurelion could have a different shape, but wanted to use the form of a dragon.

I guess we'll have to wait and see once more information comes out.

I'd say Aurelion Sol is not a dragon, nor any kind of mortal being for that matter, but chose to present itself to humans in that form.

In fact, it can probably take any shape it wants, I'd even go as far as to say Aurelion Sol is not actually corporeal.

Well he does tell her she is not worthy of the draconic lineage. So I'm guessing he IS a dragon, but not the kind from runeterra. He even asks Vi if she is really going to punch a star dragon.
