@Riot, So is this a typo, rename, or an entirely different "Revek"?

So while reading Progress Day, this little detail caught my eye since Orianna is part of the lore update going on for Piltover, and her father, who is an esteemed inventor, also created her utilizing unprecedented methods. While initially assuming it to be a small reference since the object in question is a clock and Orianna is known as The Lady of Clockwork, I have some reservations outright claiming it to be a fact.

So my question is the same as presented in the title; is "Revek" the same Reveck we know, or an entirely different family?

Chekov's gun tells me that this Revek is Corin Revek, or at least in the same family as him.

I mean come on, you don't name drop like that in a setting with so few confirmed last names.

I'm just hesitant because Reveck and "Revek" are two separate things, and though the distinction is minute it could be deliberate. If they are one and the same, why change the name? If not, why make their names similar in addition to working in the same field?

I just thought to ask for Riot confirmation since it's such a small detail that has no bearing on upcoming lore, yet could grant us a better idea of a previously established character within the universe.

Hm.

I'm still firmly on the fence of "Yeah this is Corin", if only because Reveck in and of itself holds narrative weight, and having such a similar name that it's basically pronounced the same speaks to itself, but the altered spelling might be significant. Alternatively it might not and it could've been a typo, but I dunno.

I think this is most likely a typo. The exquisite clocks made by Corin Reveck are famous in their universe I would suppose, and it would only be logical that he was mentioned. I also saw a typo in the map, where there was "failure" written two times in row, but it's fixed now. Errors find their way into text, but that's no big deal. They've already fixed the one on the map, I'm sure they'd fix this one when they find it.
