The new medieval fantasy skins look amazing but they're all 750 skins with no new particle effects which is, frankly, a huge waste of potential.

Jayce Brighthammer still summons futuristic tech despite obviously being a high-fantasy affair. Give him some more lighter, more magical looking effects.

Sejuani Dawnchaser is smooth and elegant but uses a particle set made to look rough and savage. How about lighter blues and a more mist-like frost?

As for Bard Bard, well, a musical themed skin on the musical champion has legendary, perhaps even ultimate potential. He collects musical notes with this skin, how about a full on Fantasia-style "music is alive" theme? Q- Brassier sound effects to fit his new horn W- No idea E- Turn into random instruments that play while moving down the tunnel R- A dramatic, orchestral sound before the landing And new music when he flies around collecting chimes.

So, does anyone else feel like these new skins deserve an upgrade? What changes would you like to see?

Well if Sejuani must be an elf, I'd like to see a few more nature effects.

But these are 750 skins. They aren't supposed to have special effects.

I too was hoping in more Holy looking skills for Jayce.

hmmm... for Jayce, I would have switched the themes around. So it is like the sun is in gun/marksman mode and the moon is hammer mode. :/

This line lends itself well to 975 and below. Besides the VFX of the base skins of these champs fit fairly well with these skins already. Any VFX or SFX change to these skins would make them marginally better for a substantial increase in price. I think it would be a missed opportunity for future 1350+ skins and a waste to put anymore resources into skins that are already good as 975 and lower tier.

Yes these skins should get sound effects/visual effects especially bard, can you imagine listening to all the music they could fit into the theme

they aren't medieval they're d&d themed

same deal with the gragas, braum, varus, and ryze skins from last year

they're the archetypal d&d party (cleric, fighter, rogue, and wizard respectively)

and the new ones are some of the less popular classes (jayce is a paladin, sejuani seems like a cavalier, bard is, well, a bard)

karthus seems to be filling the lich archetype but i guess he could also be a warlock that goes evil

I think Jayce is fine, might + magic etc etc. His particle effects would look fine coming from his new magic-infused crystal gear. Although I do wish his weapon effects looked a bit more ornate than metal. The sleek metal still looks a bit futuristic, as you said.

Bard is adorable but I agree that the lack of new sounds is a real missed opportunity. However, I understand that his sounds would be harder to change than just a voice over. They'd have to compose new music for everything (which would be awesome).

I guess Sej is an elf because she already looks like a medieval warrior.. so they wanted something a bit different. Still though, it's a bit odd for her to look so dainty. I'd like to see a huge headdress on her at the very least. Not a tiara, not a veil, not a flower. A huge feathered, metal, and leather monstrosity looks as big as she acts in game. The lion is great. Oddly squat and fat, but it's a lion-boar hybrid and you can tell that.

Karthus' outfit is a bit meh for me. idk the colors and design are really tame. the whole younger/unmasked thing is great though. I'm glad it's a continuing trend (like Kass, Ryze, and Kayle).
