Why no Demacian scientists?

While reading the lores, I came to notice that there are no scientists in Demacia nor are there any places that share sciences with Demacia. Ionia has Piltover, Noxus has Zaun, but Demacia has no one and nothing to develop there sciences. With magic already a shunned thing how can Demacia possibly become an advanced society? Please fill in the blanks Meddler. Thank you.

Uhm actually there is no confirmation that Ionia has really strong ties to piltover(or at leas that piltover delivers hextech stuff to ionia)

The rifle that was built for Jhin was made based on the zaunite weapons that were used against them.

And demacia is a pretty isolated place, they have everything they need and managed to survive with it,so they likely don't see a reason to invest into technology(also most technology is magic based,so demacia would likely see it as evil and it'd be less effective on demacian grounds anyway)

I would imagine that this is due to the drawbacks of demacias strong need for independence and maintaining tradition which basically stunts its growth as a civilization Which is why it is basically a medieval nation

I kinda imagined that demacia would probably only see it like magic. Kind of like how medieval knights might react to seeing a robot. It would scare them and they would destroy it.

Is the Zaun-Noxus connection still a thing? I thought Zaun and Piltover were more like two areas of the same city now. Perhaps a Zaunite scientist working in and for Noxus?

And where do we get that Ionia gets its technology from Piltover? I thought Ionia was more spiritual-magical focused.

Soo does Durand not count?

Edit: Oh no, I always remember Durand as an artificer but I just looked it up and he's been retconed into Michelangelo now.

"Science" in Runeterra comes from the use of Hextech which is just engineered magic.

As far as I know, Demacia is not really interested in advanced technology. I thought this nation was more about tradition and is shunning basically everything new.

Noxus is different, all that counts for them is power and it is absolute meaningless for them where this power came from. Doesn't matter if it's from technology (even "corrupted" technology.... look at Urgot, that is absolutely amorally) or from magic. As long as it makes you stronger, they support it.

i see demacia as a country who is afraid of the unknown and anything that they cant control , science is unknown just like magic is. therefor i dont think science is very popular in demacia

Because magic is EEEEVIIIIIILL.... and Science is Magic.... in Runeterra.
