So...Kalista has 5 rivals now

This isn't really a discussion thing it's just that I was wandering around the champ pages to see if things had changed for our newest additions, and they fixed Kalista's rivals section so now it has 5 rivals in it: . We all know why she would have them as rivals, as Kalista says:

"Turncoats, oath breakers and betrayers...we hate them all."

But it's more about the fact this was added in the first place. Questions I have:

Did anyone notice this before?
Did the site always have the capacity to add that many rivals? I feel like it didn't.
Any chance this could be part of the tech issues getting fixed?

Fuck if I know, just thought it was interesting to point out. Any thoughts anyone?

Also Hecarim is in there. Really wish they would expand on his past, we have no idea who he betrayed.

That is possible, especially when one of the Altars' quote is ''Remember who you once were, Hecarim.''

tbh, Hecarim's past (And the Shadow Isles) has a lot of untapped potential...really wish Riot would do something with it.

If Morde was the Ruined King. Something that I don't believe to be so. Mordekaiser is portraied as "the first undead ever" which means he could be in his actual form even before the SI downfall.

We still know nothing about the SI apart the fact that there was a time when they practiced high level Necromancy (the relics used for reviving Sion).

Who's to say the Ruined King is the dude raising undead?

Who's to say someone didn't push him down the road to damnation?

Who's to say someone didn't deceive an entire nation to create an unspeakable tragedy?

Who's to say someone didn't use his powers over metal to break the souls of those who they perceived as a threat?

I feel like I lost the plot somewhere along the road the point still stands! I recon Morde's the reason why everything there went to shit; he set everything up and led the people of the land we know as the Shadow Isles in to death, including their king.

We know that the King wanted to "break" the rules of death from Kalista lore/quotes/event. We don't know why.

About Morde, I have a theory of my own. Doesn't he have the same power of a fearsome SI entity who seems to be on the loose since some decades? I believe that what Mordekaiser is holding inside of his armor is the core or the whole of the Black Mist (Morde Ultimate is reaping the enemies souls outside their bodies and bend them to his will). Think about his old old Lore: "The common perception is that the encompassing armor protects him, I fear that – for the fragile time being – it actually protects us."

This theory could bind all of his lore together, he might have been the first being ever to overcome death with the Mist either a tool or a consequence of it. Then he would been quite in a "Litch King on the Frozen Throne" fashion untill the Ruined King awakened the Mist again. Mordekaiser could then be on a quest to re-bind the mist to himself.

I do not believe it a coincidence that Mordekaiser's new skin depicts him as a king. I believe Mordekaiser was the King, and Hecarim was his Centaur general. Perhaps Mordekaiser lost himself to dark magic (The Ruined King) and Hecarim found out too late to do anything to save his king or the kingdom itself. That would explain why the alters warn Hecarim not to trust Mordekaiser.

That's because of his name, Mordekaiser means "Murderous Emperor" or "Emperor Murderer" and his other skin is also "Lord" Mordekaiser.

I do believe that Mordekaiser was in his current state when the SI were still "alive".

Were you the one who added those rivals on the wiki Sharjo?

PS: Kalista doesnt like any traitor, but there wasnt room enough to put them all in her bio (even 3 are only showcased on the wiki because most champions until now only had 3 of ether rivals, friends or allies).

The irony is that Lissandra actually maintained her vows to the Watchers. What could be seen as betrayal in the eyes of the Avarosan, is in all actuality a sign of loyalty and devotion to the beings who gave the Freljordians the ability to be Iceborn.

But the real question here is, Who gave their soul to sic Kalista on Lissandra? Most of the iceborn don't seem to remember Lissandra's defense of the Watchers, and for all we know Avarosa was killed at the bottom of the Howling Abyss? Did Serylda make a deal with the devil of sorts?

What if it was avarosa herself?

Judging by Greyors quotes no one knew that Lissandra was working for the watchers,so I think it is possible that Lissandra used this for her advantage and backstabbed avarosa.

Lissandra being there is weird. I suspect the reason she is is because she's taken up the role of infiltrator over the ages, gathering trust and corroding tribes. The Frostguard were rotted from the inside by her techniques and turned against the others secretly. This is probably where Kalista's angle is coming from, which is ... eh?

I just assumed that Kalista sorta knows and hates all betrayers, but mostly leaves them alone until she is actually summoned.

It was never said that his master attacked him and regardless he is a traitor(I mean he left the kinkou,came back with his own guys to beat them up,then killed their master and then ordered his students to attack the other kinkou as well).Even if the "he killed the master"-part was out of self defense,that doesn't excuse the other things.

True, but I still feel he doesn't really have that much of a traitor feel to him than someone such as Twisted Fate. He's more of a guy who got lost because his master betrayed him after he opened up forbidden magic.

I doubt that Kalista cares for his motives. Zed might have had more complex motives than just power or personal gain(like TF or Cassiopeia),but in the end he did betray the kinkou order and Kalista most likely hates all betrayers(at least those that aren't personally connected to her)equally.

Im not sure why lissandra is listed as rival, actually it was her the one betrayed (Yes, because she is kind of bad, but still she didn't betray)
