What if the person River King made a deal with was Twisted Fate? Also, what if the woman River King killed was Evelynn!? Then she was revived in the Shadow Isles afterwards. Anyone's thoughts?

Makes sense, though hope you will incorporate the tf, eve relationship when she gets reworked and when there is enough background lore for you guys to do events of the actual interactions between the different factions and champions that do not come from the same place.

^^^ And just like that the Narrative Lead just communicated a lore point and topic as well as indirectly mentioned a core trait of TF. :D It's happening guys!

Yes thank you,the gambler in the video wasn't TF.The gambler & his wife,like the Zaunite thug in the Ekko video,were just random people.Valoran has more than just champions inhabiting it. Speaking of which,Jaredan I hope you guys are working on creating some non-champ important characters for the lore.

We have to be very careful about Helmet Bro. His presence can completely unbalance a story. We keep having to stop ourselves putting him in everything. We've been known to fail on that.

It pleases me to hear that. I can understand why people thought TF was the Gambler in the video, but I didn't concur with them. Throughout the video and my browsing of peoples' thoughts on it, I kept thinking, "I think you guys are jumping to conclusions. The Gambler is a character archetype: Twisted Fate isn't the only gambler in the world." Plus, the Wrioting Team^ have been placing the new champs next to the smallfolk to emphasize how spectacular the champions really are.

It was changed like 1 year ago... even before the release of Kalista... just like the Wings of Kayle, the Fire of Brand Etc.

its been confirmed that he doesn't have any knockups.

Though it was also said that he has 3 passives on his kit(although not all of them are necessarily tied to his passive ability)

Well, according to Twisted Fate, he "Never lost a fair game... or played one." so, i dont think that he is the gambler with financial problems.

I'd say the gambler could either be TF or eve was the bride.

If both things are the case then that would mean that tf is pretty much ancient,despite the fact that he got his magical powers only recently.

I believe he left the Gambler alive, because, at the end, Tamm is addressing him as if lecturing him directly, keyword; directly. Unless Tamm is some crazy basstard, and talking to the dead body he just ate, which, all in all, is a possibility, after all, we already have a variety of nut jobs in the league already.

Actually he talking to "US" the summoner/player, that why the end he looking at us in the river, think about it he telling us a story of a deal he made with the gambler hence the book.

Honestly i had thoughts similar to this and i at least find the ideas appealing. That this River King story was the story of TF before his current lore. That his luck is a residual thing from the River King. Also that If this was true then they, when they come out with the river king, could update & adapt TFs lore to something darker, or at least add more depth to the champion.

Maybe even a small rework.

Very awesome and appealing idea/s.
