Note that before this I told myself that I would never buy Ryze (for whatever reason, I don't remember.)

I was watching LOL cinematics and he happened to be in a bunch of them, and I really liked how he had a similar trait in most of them,

he was a running, in ya' face, into the action, flinging energy at everything mage who held onto that book with all his might, and now, this is how I will envision him when I see him being played in league or when I play him.

If you notice, in almost all the cinematics he's either 1) opposing some force of evil (Nocturne) or 2) Supporting his allies by doing what needs to be done, and saving their tails. Everyone else just bandwagons on his idea when he takes action. (Original trailer / dominion)

Ryze is getting a complete VU and they said that they want to emphasize the "action"-stuff about ryze,since Ryze is a mage who fights not only with magic,but also with his body.

We'll have to see how he'll turn out,but if you liked his "running into the action"-style then I guess there is a good chance,the updated ryze will work for you(note that we don't have a clear image of him and he might take some time)
