Despite the negative feedback, Riot still went forward with the new Fiora splash art

Even though the community hates it and is doing it's best to make Riot listen to it's plea, Riot totally ignored it, and decided to go forward with their new Visual Update on Fiora.

"Oh, the fans are not happy? Screw them! Just forward the request to the Art team's to make some new skins!" - Riot Yes, it's true, sadly, skins generate money. A new Fiora splash art/model does not.

And you know what's the worst part? I actually had faith in Riot to revert their decision. I had faith that they would say: "Look, the players didn't like it, let's just try again." Nope, instead they said "Fuck it! Look's fine to me! Just make more skins! If the players don't like it, that's their problem!"

It's sad. Today, i lost the faith i had in Riot.

Why do these boards exist? They are useless. Their only purpose is to provide "funny memes" via de "Memes and Games" Board, which, might i add, is flooded with Riot responses, because that's the most important part of their job. ...to laugh to what the community created/thinks

I'm going to leave you with a quote that i have heard multiple times during the recent 3 years

What are you even talking about? They did already some changes to the splash art and they might do more changes,its been one day since the splash hit the pbe.

They won't revert it comepletely,becuase otherwise they would have invested a ton of work into the splash art for nothing,not to mention that the old splash doesn't fit the new ingame model,so reusing the old splash isn't a possibility anway.

Not to mention that they did listen to the community when it came to Ahri Katarina &Tristana . They won't do everything that we demand from them,but thats because the community on the boards is a rather small part of the overall community and negative opinions are always voiced much louder than positive ones(if I like the change,then I'm usually happy and won't say much,but if I dislike it,then I will go and complain about it) and there'll be always some people who are against any kind of change.

Well ofc. Are you a designer yourself? Paintor? Programmer? Any sort of creator? When creating anything do you wanna hear everybodies opinion? Or... hm, you are basically drawing because if feels good to do so? Playing the game as someone next to you tells you to, or because you enjoy it?

You don't listen to X singer to boast their ego or to support them, it's not a favor, you do it because you enjoy (out of selfishness basically) and you are complaining. They owe you SHIT you stupid fck. So no, they don't have to listen to the fans, nor they have to be called out because of it --> they go in the direction they want to.

It's stupid when artists/singers thank their fans for what they've achieved. As if fans were doing a favor to them. The artist always did what he did, people who liked it happened to follow/support it simply by enjoying, nothing else. Fans aren't doing any favor to anyone, neither is the artist to the fans - it's just a reciprocal relation from the start.

Put it in perspective, you're complaining about something you have nothing to do with - and that's it. It's somebody else's passion and work. And you are calling them out on not listening to the fans that are saying, "Riot, despite the game being your collective work, we, irrelevant random people, without education to do it ourselfs, want you to implement our ideas, because we dislike what you do."

No artist should go by "I wanted to do this, but I can't because my current fans don't support it" - it's when the soul is lost, doing it to please and get money, as oppose to doing it out of passion. The retcon complaining is the same shit lol. People short-sighted didn't realise the short bios weren't it - More was coming

But it finally came out and everybody put their tails between their legs. Fiora hadn't been announced and the Story and Art forum would be reeking of ashamed self-entitled narrative experts looking for redemption in ass-kissing "OMG IM SOUL SERPRIESED IT CAME OUT GUD, I EXPECTED SHET FREM RITO, THEY'RE A GEMIN COMPANY THAT DESNT THELIVER OTHER CONTENT THAT IS NOT GAMING PROPALY".
