But please, can we get at least one totally screwed up human character in 2018? A champion where you look at it and say to yourself: "Oh..."

Yes, this is because the new champion is just another chick with powers. She doesn't look like she spent years in the most volatile dimension in existence that can corrupt and distort anything by merely giving its attention to it

Edit: Would be cool if her model changed to look more void like with her passive upgrades. But I'm not having high hopes for that

Well they also made a point about not designing champs to be sexy for the sake of sexyness. The attractiveness has to fit with the theme of the character.

But since Kai'sa was lost in the void for years now,there doesn't seem to be much reason for her to be sexy.

Have you looked at Malzahars new splash? Those squares on his hood aren't just a neat design,they are holes. He has literally a third eye growing out of his forehead. And he wasn't even in the void to begin with.

Also in what way go "isolation from all other humans" and "looking sexy" hand in hand?

That seems to be the same thing with Diana, a glowing sigil on his head. What splash art show is being holes?....I'll wait. And the point I'm trying to make is that there is no information about what can happen to a human in the Void. For all we know Kassidan forged some sort of armor during his stay in the void or got mutilated by something.

And with that ignorance, you can't just expect humans to turn into mutants with no information. People are just way to sensitive to that point it's shrew...

Even if its not an eye,the fact remains that at least in the current lore,Malzahar has never entered the void in the first place,he merely saw it in the visions.

Also if we want another example of void corruption look no further than the rift herald. That thing used to be a regular scuttle crab,now it is gigantic with a new eye on its back.

Not if they spent an extended period of time in a horrible dimension that is supposed to corrupt regular humans, that's literally it's schtick. She looks like a shampoo commercial.

I don't think critics of the new Champ's design dislike regular human designs, I think they dislike the design because its not fitting for someone who survived the depths of the Void. Hot chicks are fine, I encourage them even, when they make sense.

Because when some one is having expectations, they have a biased thought toward what's reveal. Then they complain because it's not what they wanted. You can have an opinion, but don't try to force Riot to follow you're opinion. That's what triggers me, Riot has their concepts.

Then tell my why the one person who was in touch with the void for the longest time out of all the champs and characters in the lore should be the most human one? I wouldn't have a problem with her if she hadn't been in touch with the void for a long time.

But at least from what we can see the logic goes pretty much backwards,she was in touch with the void longer than anyone else that we know of,yet her body changed less than anybodies else.

Im sure there is a reason in her lore. You act like that can't happen my god. It was never stated her body twist and contorts like if you were in the black mist for a long time. It's established that you can die if there for a long time and turn into something ghoulish. But was it stated for the void?

Well I am pretty sure that the symbiont is the reason why she didn't mutate that much,but honestly that feels more like an excuse to make her sexy. Kinda like Quiet from Metal gear solid V,who was supposedly sexy for a reason,but said reason just came off as a sorry excuse.

And like I said,we have examples of other individuals transforming and mutating due to the influences of the void,like the rift herald or rosha,the previous tidecaller.

Anyway I don't want to say that the Kai'sa is a bad character or that everything about her design is terrible,I just feel like the sexyness doesn't really mesh that well with her backstory.

Look at Kassadin. Look at Jax. Look at Malzahar. Kassadin got screwed up just by entering the Void. Jax doesn't even remember how his old body looked like. Malzahar, who probably spent the most and actually comparable time (if Kai'Sa is Kassadins daughter) with Void energy grew a third eye. What does she have? 6 Markings on her face. That's it. The rest is a suit.

Kassadin was a broken man when he entered the void and he’s a broken man now. He literally can’t breathe the air of the world. He never really entered the void to the extent that his daughter has.

Malzahar was marked by the void, and his submission to it has allowed him to use its power.

Our new champion was in the void for years, that’s longer than any other champion we know of by several magnitudes. Besides the voidborn themselves, Kai’Sa was molded by the void into a hunter. She entered the void scared and helpless, and now she’s a weapon. Her willpower, and her current condition, points to the idea that the void isn’t just corrupting her. She’s using it’s power in some way that none has before.

Yeah, sure. Let's break all preexisting rules about the Void so our new champion doesn't have to look like she's in anyway affected by it.

Kassadin was determined to get his daughter back and was broken by the Void, despite various precautions.

What rules? We never received any rules, especially ones concerning the void. This new champion will be the first void-related character with full lore.

Kassadin May have been determined, but to him the void is a disease, an infection that must be cut off.

Also, The new champion is likely going to bring more light to the void, if anything she might provide a depiction of the void we have previously lacked.

Well just look at all the other creatures that were affected by the void Kassadin is blue,needs a breathing device and who knows how he looks like under his helmet Malzahar has an eye growing on his forehead,even though he wasn't even in the void.

Save for the mask, Kassadin is actually pretty handsome/ripped. We can't say if he's truly hideous until he takes said mask off. Malzhar has glowing eyes and floats, but aside from that his fisique hasn't suffered that much from the void. Jax was hinted to be related to the void, and aside from having three-digit fingers, he's not so ugly

I get what you're saying and I actually support you in that it's a wasted chance to show how much the void can screw a human in both body and mind, but the other human-void characters received pretty much the same treatment. Right now though, I'm more disappointed for the fact that they went for a "metroid meets pg-13 venom" style. But with 140 champs (now that this one's coming), not everyone can be ultra unique.

Also, keep in mind that Rito needs to satisfy many niches, in terms of aesthetics, gameplay, lore and more. You and I probably weren't part of their target this time. Let's sit back and see what they'll cook for the champion after this :D

I personally really like her design, especially since I can even see a bit of similarity between her and pre-void Kass, I feel like the idea of a symbiotic skin is awesome, though that might be biased since I do like characters in pop-culture like that, e.i. Blue Beetle and Venom, and she even has the some tribal tattoos in her in-game model, though her gameplay doesn't suit me, I am actually interested in testing her out
