If Ionia was invaded again....

Yasuo Would Yasuo return even though they want him dead?

Syndra Zed Would Zed or Syndra fight for a country that does not trust them?

Riven (this one might be a little far fetched) I wonder if riven would, if only temporarily, switch sides as for a means of atonement, and revenge. Especially if Noxus employed the same methods as they did the previous time.

Ahri MonkeyKing I don't doubt that Ahri would defend her birthplace, or Wukong for his teacher, but I wonder if they themselves or others consider them Ionian citizens?

Zed's position, as taken from his AMA.

I don't think he cares much for Demacia, but I'd guess he has a certain distaste for Noxus as least. At his core, he is Ionian, and though he favors his own goals over Ionia's, he's a patriot in a bit of a twisted sense. By unbalancing Ionia, he believes its people will become more powerful, as all the restraints of said balance will be removed. He might believe that part of the reason Noxus was able to hurt Ionia so badly was because Ionia had become complacent and vulnerable in its state of balance.

I think that Zed and Syndra might ally with Noxus. Syndra respects power (primarily her own), and Noxus respects power. Zed wants the freedom to teach his shadow techniques; Noxus doesn't shy away from controversial methods of developing strength. I think Yasuo would indeed return to defend Ionia. Riven probably wouldn't completely betray her home country. She wants Noxus to become more "respectable" and "conservative," as opposed to new age Noxus using horrific abominations (Sion) and controversial, terrible chemicals (Singed) to reach its ends (plus there's the whole background political power play going on with Swain, Leblanc, and the Black Rose, which I doubt Riven cares for). She's faithful to Noxus itself, but she refuses to fight alongside such unsavory characters. Wukong would probably help Ionia, for the sake of his teacher (and because he seems to be a fundamentally "good" character that would see the invasion of Ionia as unjust). However, a fight with Noxus is not necessarily a fair challenge (the sort of thing Wukong sought by joining the League)— he might enjoy a fight with Sion or Darius, perhaps Urgot, but Vladimir, Swain, and LeBlanc would probably seek "unfair" tactical advantages over him (trickery/deceit, ambush, overwhelming force for fighting Wukong alone, etc.). Singed probably wouldn't provide a fun fight, either, seeing as he prefers to use poison rather than his own combat skills to fight his enemies. Ahri could go either way. She's interested in humans, not Ionia... Her allegiance (or lack of one) could be decided by the flip of a coin. Is her developing sense of morality enough to convince her to help those in need of her aid, or does she care at all?

Just what I think. Not that it matters, with the lore in shambles (unless you, too, prefer to ignore that the lore was retconned).

Yasuo would return for a chance to redeem himself, Zed and Syndra wouldn't give a damn since they hate them all anyway and an invasion would just make it simpler for them, Riven would likely return to get her revenge on Swain, Ahri and Wukong would definitely defend their home. Atleast imo. :P

I pretty much agree with what everyone else said. Yasuo would likely return, Riven would probably switch sides and help the Ionians against what she views is a corrupted Noxus. Wukong would likely help, with Master Yi. I'm not sure about Ahri. Syndra and Zed would either ignore it or join Noxus. I don't think Noxus would win if they invaded again Akali Irelia Karma Kennen LeeSin MasterYi Riven Shen Soraka Udyr Varus MonkeyKing Yasuo VS Darius Draven Katarina Leblanc Swain Talon Urgot Vladimir Singed Sion

I hope they do this again. But the focus would be Riven vs Yasuo. Riven, does not fight under noxus's flag, but she does fight for a better Noxus. She wanders the land seeking a way to claim Ionia for Noxus, but in the way that she sees to be correct, in combat. Yasuo also wanders trying to prove that he had nothing to do with the elder's death. So in a way, both are considerd traitors, seeking to reedem the mistakes of their past. And that my friends,is what I hope that would be the focus of the next war, if it ever came to pass

Oh look, a 2nd invasion of Ionia by Noxus? League Factions has done it already. Answering most all of the questions you have now.

In summary: Yasuo was recruited and given temporary amnesty, Zed sided with noxus, Assassinated Ionia's leadership, and tried to toss them into chaos so as to create the Ionia he envisions, Riven sided with Noxus since they decided to avoid going with zaunite chemical weapons until the very end, at which point Riven got pissed and has sworn a vendetta against Noxus. Ahri and Wukong fought for Ionia, as it is their home, and they've been there for so long that they consider themselves Ionian citizens.
