Project to add new lines as lore evolves?

Hey there, Onwodori here!

Lore is in a ... precarious place, right now for league. New champions, reworks, total overhauls of locations (Lookin' at you, Bilgewater.)

Might it be at all possible to go back and add addition lines between characters, or interactions that weren't there before? Gangplank ought to have SOMETHING to say to Illaoi, right? Even if it's just "Hrm. Taller than I remember," or "I'll be wanting back my spare cutlass, Woman." To show they have a history and that Gangplank is actually just a big, wounded teddy bear.

Thanks and cheers all,

-Onwodori

I made a thread like this after the Shurima event, asking if it was possible to go back for 'audio updates' for champions to bring them up to date in lore.

A red responded to me saying that it probably won't happen. The reason is that Voice Acting is one of the, if not the, most expensive part of the creation process. They need to hire the actors, either auditioning new ones or working with the busy schedules of established ones, record the lines, balance and edit the sound, add in effects (If applicable), and put them into the game. Then they have to do it again, and again, and again, for every language LoL is spoken in.

There is hope, sometimes, for important events. For example, in the Shurima event, Renekton, Cassiopeia, and Xerath all got new lines, because they were related to the story at the time. So, if there were, for example, an Ionia event, they could add more lines to Zed and Karma alongside a champion release/VU.
