It's one of the few splashes that are an actual improvement, plus I absolutely love that piece of art, I was planning on using that skin more because of the splash change

The piece has way more depth than the NA Crimson Akali and frankly the feel of this piece makes me like this skin a whole lot more, and it's also higher quality and it fits the NA art style more than the old one, the old one is quite anime-ish.

Please keep it in

I have to disagree. Her original splash is so much better. This one looks like something that came straight from Mortal Kombat.

And how exactly is it better? It's quite plain and I don't really get anything from it, plus she has major anatomy problems in that splash, the only anatomy problems here is the whole "foot behind the other" illusion thing

This piece is way more exciting and really enforces the whole "crimson" theme, the whole redness of the entire thing is really unique and brings the whole thing together

That splash is strong. Also, MK rulez.

And that's what the skin is based on... And, no, from an Anatomy stand point, the original is much, much, much worse than the updated one.

Yeah, the anatomy is all kinds of fucked up.

No it's not. The skin is based on Taki from Soul Caliber.

Then neither is any of Shen's skins. Oh, wait, they are. Just like Crimson Akali is based on Skarlet.

Shen's are based on Sub-Zero and Scorpion yes but Crimson Akali has nothing to do with Skarlet.

Crimson Akali was released May 11th 2010.

The outfit has much of the same look to Taki from Soul Calibur http://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/soulcalibur/images/a/ad/Sc2-taki2.jpg

Where as Skarlet, made her debut in Mortal Kombat 2011 and has a much more revealing outfit http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/mkwikia/images/1/11/250px-Skarlet_renderfinal.png and well the timeline. Skarlet didn't exist before then, outside of the rumors that were centered around her.

I still see more Skarlet than Taki. Because both Crimson Akali and Skarlet have something covering their faces, both have a color in their name, and both have a loincloth-ish clothing over their groin area. The only similarities between Taki and Crimson Akali is their colors and the fact that they're ninjas... that's it. And I disregard the "debut" as she's been rumored to be around much, much long.

It looks more like it should be Blood Moon Akali, also its inconsistent with the in-game model.

"Looking like it should belong to another skin" isn't really a valid reason to not keep a splash as it's a matter of opinion and really just not valid in general, and also, I'm not sure where you're getting inconsistency from, it looks exactly like the in game model.

What about General Wukong? That seems to be a much worse offender of "inconsistent with in-game model", alongside Winged Hussar Xin Zhao, Phantom Karthus, Statue of Karthus, and Grim Reaper Karthus? The three Karthus splashes look heavily inconsistent with his model in-game, and Winged Hussar Xin Zhao and General Wukong give a much cooler image than the in-game model delivers on, but you're not harping on them. Plus, Blood Moon skins have some sort of a signature mask on the character, usually bone white with horns and red accents of some sort.

The splash pictured in this post looks very much like the in-game Crimson Akali model, so I see no reason why it should be reverted.

I dont like those as well, even if some of them look cool and I dont deny that this splash art looks cool. But its inconsistent.

The only inconsistencies I see are as follows;

  1. Splash depicts a small plate fauld on her waistplate, while in-game she just has the plate.
  2. Splash is missing the hairpin present in-game.
  3. Splash is missing the shoulderplate present in-game.
  4. Splash is missing the black piece covering the collar present in-game.

And, that's it. Sure, some people would gripe about that much, but there are also people who complain about splashes showing "wrong handedness" or "wrong side" etc. and not knowing about image mirroring. I usually have the feeling that they're the same people.

While I can agree that it is missing some things the in-game model has, and that it's cool nonetheless, I still feel it should be the splash used in-game.

I really have to agree. When I saw in the update today that they were reverting Crimson and Stinger Akali's splashes, I was really disheartened. The current Crimson Akali just doesn't look quite as awesome as the updated one of her carrying that demon head. I don't get why people complained so much about a good thing.

I agree, the old one looks like anime...

Atuko2 votes

Yeah the old one does look quite two-dimensional.

This skin has such a split opinion. Some people love the Chinese splash, some people love the original splash. There were several threads complaining about the Chinese one when it was revealed, if I recall.

It's been very divisive. It's probably really confusing Riot.
