It's time for me to rustle some jimmies.
The evidence that Jon is a Targ is getting practically overwhelming at this point. As far as his death, there are a few things which worth to practically confirm it. First, "He never never felt the fourth knife, only the cold." is consistent with other deaths in the series, most notably would be Lady Catlyn Stark "It's (the knife's) kiss was cold and red." Second, a compare and contrast reading with the Barristan Selmy chapter that followed immediately afterwards, where Selmy spends a lot of time reflecting on how a man dies of his wounds. One of the more notable lines relating to mortal wounds being "Blood comes before the pain..."
In Jon's chapter, he takes a knife to the neck. the blood "welled" at the wound, Jon jumps back to avoid another attack but as he lands he staggers. He reaches up to draw Longclaw, but can't draw it properly because "His fingers had grown cold and stiff." Which is fine, except that it makes no sense. Jon spent an absurd amount of time warming and flexing his hands exactly to avoid this situation. This behavior was a borderline tick, accompanying nearly every paragraph in each of his chapters. This was clearly a case of unreliable narrator, much like Lady Sansa remembering the kiss The Hound gave her; the kiss that never happened. Jon's hands weren't cold and stiff, Jon's neck wound was more serious than he thought it was.
Third, he was hit four times. We don't know where one is, but we do know that he took a stab to the stomach and a stab to the back (somewhere between the shoulderblades). Stomach wounds are almost always mortal wounds on their own, never mind a neck wound, a back wound, and a wound where we have no idea where it is.
There is other stuff too, it fit's too damned perfectly with the Prologue and the prophesy of The Prince that was Promised.
