Master Yi and Jax - Possible Connection?

Now, call me stupid, (as I'm not sure if this is old news or not) but I've noticed a thing or two about these two champions.

Their masks. They all have a large number of eyeholes.

And before Jax received an art updated, these eyeholes had an equal quantity.

With that I believe Jax and Master Yi may be from the same location. Jax could possibly be a practitioner of the Wuju style. Even if he isn't human, there are places in Runeterra that are diversely multiracial.

Thoughts?

WE only know that heimer made yi's mask. That is all. However, having masks is not something that connects them, and the person above me, there has never been established a relationship between aatrox and jax.

Yea, at least it was in the old lore. The mask was made so yi would have even better peripheral vision for his fighting technique.

he may practice wuju (though why tf would he when he destroys yi anyway) but his is meant to be a slave of aatroxx (or companion)

Their is a key difference between their masks. Yis mask has these weird telescope-things on it all over the place(I think yi can't see without this mask),while jaxs mask is actually just a regular metal mask with many holes in them(which might mean that jaxs face is full with glowing eyes,or that his whole head is glowing like this)

Huh, good point. Yi's does have a sort of lens fixture on it.

Any possibility of Jax being from either the land that-Olaf-is-from-which-I-cant-bother-to-remember-right-at-this-moment or one of the Ascended?

Olaf is from Lokfar,which was retconned into a region of the freljord,so that land is nothing special.

I doubt that Jax is an ascended,the ascended all look like animals(except for xerath,but thats because he messed with the ritual),but what we can see from jaxs body looks nothing like an animal.

I think he is some sort of mystical being,like Soraka & Bard

That's a much better thought. I would be totally chill if Jax had some relation to Bard.

There was a theory that jax was an ancient troll hero who fought against the watchers and helped destroy them. It was prolly the best explanation there is.
