Zilean VU & Shurima/Urtistan pt 2 Electric Boogaloo

Zilean is an old Champ, one of the originals. He DID get a new skin this year, and some gameplay updates. He got one of the first Xmas themed skins in 2009, 2 skins in 2010 and a now legacy skin in 2011. Still, he needs a VU to his base model and his current skins.

Furthermore his lore is tied up with the League and still needs an update as apart of the ongoing retcon.

What I'm wondering is will we get a Shurima pt 2 that will address all these things (to say nothing of giving Renekton/Nasus the Graves-TF treatment, or another resolution/advancement) and more. We've learned he's friends with Ekko, I'm interested in what this friendship is like, how they met, and how they interact and influence each other's research.

#Oh and his VU Dance MUST. BE. THIS. DANCE.

Bonus points if after Shen's VU and gameplay update in an Ionian event, Shen can also do the dance as an alternate dance if he is targeting an allied Zilean and then uses the dance command.

I think it's important he keeps some key points of his background. I'm gong to point out some things and then some new things.

CURRENT:

  • Keep "chrono-displasia" disease.
  • Keep physical intervention denied and locked in his 'time cocoon'.
  • Keep his sole quest to find a cure.
    • (He cannot use Summoner's Rift lore anymore)
  • Keep the tragedy of Urtistan (west of Shurima region).
  • Identify what 'the thread of universe's tapestry' means regarding Ascendants.
  • Azir background: (Time may have mass. Pulled on it and discovered something)

Ok. So stemming some thought on new background:

SUGGEST:

  • Urtistan was within ancient Shurima region and was obliterated (Xerath's & Azir's story).
  • (Ancient ruins; Vel'Koz still discovers ancient power and pursues Zilean for it)
  • Urtistan was the location were Ascendancy was researched with younger Xerath.
  • (Zilean participated with other colleagues of differing magics)
  • (Zilean & Xerath responsible for discovering Ascendancy)
  • Incident of clumpy experimental ancient device still applies his chrono-displasia.
  • (Other incidents of Zilean's colleague may include the boy Amumu)
  • Zilean's disease; he wants a cure. New champion: old voodoo lady
  • Old voodoo lady can cure diseases; can only alleviate Zilean's..
  • Ekko may be his next option .. but Zilean is getting old now. Why bother? :(
  • Zilean still ages as normal. In fact, he's only some several years not far from his incident! :o [Time is bread. Continuum is butter]: Spread Zilean (butter) across time (bread). He only goes so far. After a while the bread and butter will age and decay.

EXTENDED SUGGEST:

Old voodoo lady knows all medically-involved Runes, curses and Hexes but does not practie them. She alleviates and cures magical ailments. Old voodoo lady, her tribe and her ancestors have been haunted by ghosts. It is actually Zilean trying to communicate. Zilean knows old voodoo lady is intrigued; he focuses her for help! Old voodoo lady somehow performs an unlikely ritual of summoning with her tribe's support. Nidalee was there. This is not a cure. This was porting Zilean's mind & body onto an anchor.

This anchor is Zilean's memory of when his curse began. The clock on his back. Without it, he may be lost. With he, can come back. Either way ... his curse is too powerful, too ancient and unknown.

Old voodoo lady has alleviated Zilean's curse but not cured him.

... and then there's Ekko.

The suggestion replaces LoL summoner pads in-game explained in Zilean's old background. It also suggests a new champion idea as part of recent champ idea hype.
