So we will see 4 new champs and 6 VGU's this year... Lets theorize

first of all, for the references, I used spiderexe's thread with the help/confirmation from reav3 and other rioters. here

Along the way, I also come across some hints from the designers and some clarifications like xenogenics champ will come first before august.

So lets start( In order ):

1st - wav3break - VGU - Swain, which will come in a couple of days :) - Prediction Patch/Month in Live Patch: patch 8.2/January

2nd - RiotJag - New Champ - New ADC champ confirmed - Prediction Month in Live Patch: Late February

3rd - RiotSolCrushed - VGU - Irelia - Modernization like warwick - Prediction Month in Live Patch: Late March

4th - EndlessPillows - New Champ - No hints yet - Prediction Month in Live Patch: Early April (back to back patch reveal?? nothings impossible)

5th - RiotJag - GU - Aatrox - Biggest GU to date - Prediction Month in Live Patch: Early May

6th - CertainlyT - VGU - A top/jungle champ - Prediction Month in Live Patch: Late June

7th - RiotSquad5 - New Champ - No hints yet - Prediction Month in Live Patch: Late July

8th - Xenogenic - VGU - No hints yets - Prediction Month in Live Patch: Early August

9th - RiotAugust - VGU - A girl champ - Prediction Month in Live Patch: Early September

10th - RiotWrekz - VGU - Diffidently not Nunu ( I'm so sad about this one) - Prediction Month in Live Patch: Early October

No Novemeber. Pre-season stuff for the luls

Can't wait for Akalis new 10 hit passive, which deals max total missing health true magic damage that also stuns for 4.5 seconds and raises her attack speed cap for 10 seconds to be 8 hits per second and she starts with 2.0 attack speed, but every 4th auto you have to hum the entirety of Jhins login theme in order to get a burst of % flat movement speed and port all ranged champions in the game right in front of you :^)

Seriously though, i'd be surprised if she doesn't have a 3 hit passive.

I'd rather see more new champions instead of VG. I agree some need it, but to prioritize it seems kind of meh.

I'd rather see Nunu reworked over Morde. Frankly I don't think a Rework would help change the Ranged Vs Melee disparity anyway

So Akali is pretty much confirmed to be August's VGU. As for Certainly T, while it seems likely he's doing Pantheon, there are still other possibilities. I think there's a pretty good chance for it to be Wukong, with a slightly weaker chance of it being Volibear. Others I saw while looking through the roster were Dr. Mundo, Cho'gath, Malphite, and Olaf but I don't think any of them will end up leap frogging Pantheon

I think swain will be in 8.3 since we still haven't seen a teaser or reveal page.

There's the fact that Nunu is on the possible upcoming skins list, so I don't think the VGU will happen this year.

I just want a small mostly visuals-and-narrative focused Vlad VGU that fixes the hideous rig, models, VO and gives him a passive that isn't equivalent to HP per level and not much else.

How about a utility passive that fits his new lore? For Halloween?

I think the last 4 VGUs could be Pantheon Mordekaiser Kayle Morgana (not necessarily in this order).

Lorewise Kayle,Morgana and the whole angel-thing is essentially iceboxed until these 2 get their VGUs,you could argue that the lore isn't that essential,but this also means that Riot couldn't do any other angelic champs until these 2 are finished,meaning that they are limiting their own creation process if they avoid them any longer.

And Pantheon and Mordekaiser are just extremely outdated.

Though I do have to say that I think Nunu definetly needs a VGU more than any other champ,but the leak that was looking at the WAD-files(whatever that is) seems to be pretty accurate,so Nunu might get a skin soon,which would make a VGU for him rather unlikely.

As for the new champs: I'm hoping that the new champs come with new lore updates for the void,freljord and bandle city(noxus and ionia are likely getting them with Swain and Irelia,so these 3 would be the only ones missing),though all 3 in the same year seems rather unlikely.
