Who wants the KUMUNGU JUNGLES to be faction now?

like the title and yes i need this so badly!

I also want a precious icon crest by the kumungu jungles

A champ from the kumungu jungle that will be the herald of it

And i want to explore it. plus, we need new lores for nida and zyra.

Maybe this is the jungle where rengar and kha'zix fight and make rengar's faction to be the kumungu jungle

And lastly, i hope gnar traveled here and make his faction kumungu jungle and the kumungu affair?.

My theory on the kumungu jungle:

The exotic land, the kumungu jungles wants its independence from the shuriman nation. They want independence and to be recognize as a faction. So one brave warrior, told all the leaders of the 12 sub territories to form an alliance to counter the said shuriman empire. (The tribes have some references to the western horoscope signs) because there are no stories yet in LOL that wants to have it own independence or freedom from another country. Imagine if texas wants to stay away from the USA and wants its independence. Maybe this is the kumungu affair in iverns quote

But there are other territories too in the kumungu Jungle that no man has yet to explored and has vastayan people not yet have seen by some people( so yay! more vastaya ) and has not yet included in the tree of vastaya tribes.

The 12 sub territories of the kumungu jungles are:

  1. Kaikasan - has 2 tribes: consist of vastaya people who has rat attributes and has a face of a penguin and the other tribe are shaman people who looks like native americans. ( has Capricorn personalities and has a similar Capricorn sign symbol as their flag )

  2. Cocomartino - has a vastaya tribe. which consist of bee like people who was has a monarch system and only 1 woman can rule the tribe like a queen bee. ( has Aquarius personalities and has a similar Aquarius sign symbol as their flag ) http://imgur.com/a/0VLSu

  3. Zaimasu - has a Kayapo like tribe that likes to have world piece. ( has Pisces personalities and has a similar Pisces sign symbol as their flag )

  4. Flo'ra - has 2 tribes: 1 consist of having the abilities to control insects and 1 tribe consist of only female plant like people(zyra) which is now extinct and only zyra recovered. ( has Aries personalities and has a similar Aries sign symbol as their flag ) https://imgur.com/a/vm2jy

  5. Rhijinoa - has the Minotaur race(includes alistar if he will not be like a demi-god). ( has Taurus personalities and has a similar Taurus sign symbol as their flag )

  6. Sensen - has 2 tribes that dislike each other. 1 tribe has dog like vastayan attributes and the other has cat like vastayan attributes. both are shapeshifter vastayans and one is nida. ( has Gemini personalities and has a similar Gemini sign symbol as their flag )

  11. Adtra-ih - Has a vampire like creature race which can shapeshift into a bat like creature and has a scorpion tail. They likes blood specially humans. ( has Scorpio personalities and has a similar Scorpio sign symbol as their flag )

  12. Coriander - the old tribe/empire of the ruined king before he came to the shadow isles and years after he left, the tribe is now in ruins cause some void lings take over it after. this territory is also close to icathia and also the most civilized out of all the territories in the kumungu jungle. ( has Sagittarius personalities and has a similar Sagittarius sign symbol as their flag ) **cough hecarim cough **

And lastly, the brave warrior that talks to the leaders is no other than, the legendary hunter himself in rengar's story and his motif onto why he abandon rengar is because rengar is meddling on his plans and makes rengar bother him. his purpose is currently unknown though...

the thing with the Kumungu is that no one in the Kumungu is fighting for the kumungu, it's not a nation or anything it's just a place. Every champion affiliated with the Kumungu has a different story going on that is honestly unrelated to the jungle except for Nidalee, who's lore is pointing more towards Vastaya anyway.

For Kumungu to be a faction in the traditional sense, a hidden kingdom or empire would have to be revealed. According to lore, what is known of Kumungu is that the place is far too inhospitable to support a large civilizations, barring lore establishing a safe area in its middle or underground, up a mountain, etc... I get you dig the jungle setting, but the more creatures capable of thriving and leaving the jungle at the same time lessens the danger and thrill of its tales

So uh, I really like the concept of more properly establishing the Kumungu Jungle in lore.

But you completely lost me on the horoscope tribe thing and I can't help but think of that as anything but a joke, I'm sorry.

I'm all for having this faction made into a thing and leading to more new champions. It would be really fun to see more story and character design spring from this 'untapped well' so to speak. Riot could do a lot with it!

But I'm heavily opposed to trying to cram each faction into an astrology category. It just turns into creating races for the sole sake of filling out the chart, not to mention how one dimensional their personalities would be if everyone from one faction had to act the exact same way because they were all part of the same 'zodiac' group.

And I just wanted to say I don't really like the idea of Zyra being part of a plant-human tribe, she's technically a predator, a carnivorous plant who hosted a sorceress body after she ate her... So, one of the thing I love about Zyra is her, being independent and has no affiliations, just an Evil neutral plant lady who likes to feed on her prays.

I also, was always wondering why is this place only mentioned in Zyra and Nida's lore, and some Ivern's quotes, but they never really spoke in depth about what are those jungles.

The lore says there is dangerous and deadly creatures in there, and it's not a faction just a jungle, a place with different creatures and monsters with maybe different tribes, it would be so cool to have more vastayas coming from here and I LOVE the Wasp queen idea, I just want her to be a champion.

And I can imagine an ancient civilization or tribe here, antique cults, odd creatures, centipedes, monsters and tribes fighting each other, and Nida will be part of this indigenous tribes... So much potential !

I would love to see some Down Under rep in League's universe as much as the next OCE player but the issue is that neither cultures tolerate having their traditions or beliefs being mistreated. Although being honest, their cultural values are a subject mostly abused or overlooked anyway, more so for the Aboriginals sadly.

If I was pitching this fan concept I wouldn't approach it with the witchcraft angle, both culture's traditional beliefs loosely come under the large umbrella of Animism, which would be a more respectable and broad approach than specifically witchcraft and voodoo.

Not to say that witchcraft has derogatory connotations, since both cultures did embrace forms of it in their early beliefs (in Maori culture it has been phased out). So I doubt it would be deemed too offense, but it feels like something you shouldn't even poke with a ten metre stick so to speak.

Quite like this idea of adding a new faction, it's different, and the concepts are already there to build on.

Preferably I'd like the Voidborn and Vastaya to become fully fledged, don't like things being left half done, before adding new factions though. Would rather the Voidborn become a faction, rather than an existential beyond reality threat that prods at Runeterra and spews out the occasional strong one. Long overdue an event and hierarchy.

This seems like too much for a fiction so small as Kumungu. Some of the races/clans/tribes mentioned could be used for Ionia,the Glade,the Voodoo lands or another location.
