I think you just made a new meme.

The memes flow through me just as evil does.

Yes, let the memes flow through you...

A mounted Yordle with a gun that looks like it becomes a bayoneted rifle.

Glorious.

A Superb Villain14 votes

Not to mention our first officially Noxus-affiliated Yordle.

Ralanr16 votes

Though I'm confused on that part, because he seems to be fighting noxians.

Is Noxus in the midst of a civil war?

LordHippoman14 votes

Oh man, a Noxian Civil War would be a rad as hell storyline. I could see Kat betraying Swain, she knows he's kind of a slimeball (and probably killed her dad).

Riven could also probably achieve something similar. I just really like that idea. Plus, anything with more Swain is good, IMO.

SpecterVonBaren7 votes

Eh, Swain's no more of a slimeball than any other Noxian.

A Superb Villain10 votes

By old Noxian standards he is a slimeball because he relies on deceit rather than strength.

Tactically, I mean. Personally he is quite strong, but then again, transforming into a demonic raven could be argued as "borrowing" strength rather than relying on your own.

Tract2 votes

Meanwhile the true slime ball bros Draven and Darius fly under the radar......

Meep Man15 votes

Darius is quite literally the definition of Noxian glory.

I find it cool that he has a Spear AND a Handgun as a sidearm!

I find it cool that he has a Spear AND a Handgun as a sidearm!

Random slightly relevant history tidbit. During the early modern period where guns were becoming dominant and knights were still a thing there was a type of soldier called a reiter who was basically an armored cavalryman that would either charge up to the enemy lines and fire at them with a pistol or short arquebus or charge with a lance depending on the situation.

Looks like Kled is like that. Or maybe a hussar considering how lightly armored he is.

Void Nargacuga16 votes

Awesome! And thanks for the history lesson! That is something they don't tell you about in school.

Now I'm really curious about what his kit will do. Also... FUCK YEAH ANOTHER YORDLE!

Ralanr25 votes

I was kinda hoping for a female yordle, but I don't mind.

Sweet! Another mounted champion!

Void Nargacuga16 votes

This guy is Noxian... I think that makes up for it as well. That tells us he must be some sort of badass.

Ralanr15 votes

All Yordles are badass. Even Rumble.

Void Nargacuga9 votes

Touche. Very good point there. I love Rumble, he is so much fun.

But, he is a Noxian Badass and I think that puts him on a special level of Badass.

RiotRiotJaredan31 votes

Oh, he's a badass alright.

Void Nargacuga5 votes

Just how badass are we talking here? Or is it on the scale of Borderlands level of Badassery?

AninLegions77716 votes

What blasphemy is this?! Borderlands levels of Badassery are unachievable by any other game.

Void Nargacuga8 votes

I would agree with you... But If anyone can, its going to be a Noxian Yordle who charges headfirst into such an army for his own mount, and still kills said army for trespassing.

Blood Magicks8 votes

Jarebabe,

Noxus event when?

RiotRiotJaredan13 votes

Not for the time being, sorry.

Embertine12 votes

How about Demacia? I would love some new Shyvana lore!

UomoAfide18 votes

I absolutely love in the video how fleshed out the Noxian army looks: grenades, crossobows and kickass roman empire look-alike armors.

Ralanr7 votes

Though this brings up a good point, why are they fighting the Noxus army? Isn't Kled allied with Noxus?

RiotWhren18 votes

Kled does say they're trespassing. That could be why. :D

Brutusness4 votes

But what is the mount's name? Does he have one?

Toa Innodence5 votes

I've heard from reddit and twitter that it's "Skaarl" or something of the sort.

RiotWhren23 votes

Ahhhh I'm so glad you noticed that! <3

Void Nargacuga6 votes

Okay now this is getting even more interesting... WHAT IS GOING ON!? [zombie-brand-mindblown]

Ralanr13 votes

People trespassing apparently.

Void Nargacuga5 votes

He skewered that guy though.

Solari Fortune15 votes

Cause he trespassed

TheSlogs9 votes

Noxians don't fuck around with trespassing.

UomoAfide4 votes

Good thing you took the Bard's teaser "Mountain" style for Noxians and explored it more. Now we have a nice view of the common soldier from both Demacia (Poppy's base splashart) and Noxus as well.

RiotWhren12 votes

Good catch! Yeah, both the Noxians from the Bard promo and this one were informed with the work Foundations has been doing, to hopefully have a level of cohesiveness and continuity.

Sharjo2 votes

Any insight on to the material used in all that armour and weaponry? It all looks like it's made of the same black metal, and I'm inclined to believe the Noxtoraa that've been mentioned before are also made of this metal.

RiotWhren5 votes

Well, the Noxtoraa are made of stone, while the weapons are metal -- imo, the similar visuals (aside from being a strong thematic) are probably a combination of the natural materials found in the region and also Noxians just not bothering to refine/clean their metals much.

UomoAfide4 votes

lore overload Damn, stop making me drool all over the place Whren D:

Voidac10 votes

I'VE BEEN WAITING SO LONG FOR A GOOD SOLID LOOK AT WHAT MODERN MILITARY INFANTRYMEN LOOK LIKE IN VALORAN.

We got Noxus, and I assume Demacia is similarly tooled, but with more... Demacia.

Ralanr4 votes

So blue and shiny?

RiotWhren17 votes

Yeah! It's subtle, but since SKShish Renzie pointed it out -- having grenades and crossbows was a conscious choice as part of the Noxian army, the thematic being that Noxians have less qualms using such methods of firepower and are happy to explore individual weapon preferences. Their fighting style is likely to be different than Demacia as well, being that their army is structured differently. Noxian armor for instance is quite modular in theme like in the video, being that each soldier tends to customize their kit based on what they're good at or prefer.

XIII Vanitas1 votes

Shouldn't the Noxian soldier with a crossbow wear lighter armor? Or is he not specialized in archery and that just happened to be the weapon he used in that particular moment?

Warlord Dienekes6 votes

Common misconception unless your armor is getting in the way of your arm movement there is no reason not to wear armor when you're an archer. And since arm movement is less important for crossbow than a longbow he can definitely be a focused archer.

The big reason the bowman aren't perceived to have been armored in medieval combat was because armor is expensive and was not provided for the soldiers. They had to bring what they had which was usually some cloth armor like a gambeson or something. But we have paintings clearly displaying archers and crossbow men wearing as heavy an armor as any other infantry. If they could afford it, of course.

Someone is going to ship Rengar x Gnar now. Goddamnit.
