Aatrox questions

R107 Games·10/14/2018, 12:23:58 PM·3 votes·4,020 views
  1. How strong is aatrox? Is he as strong as the aspects/Ascended/shadow isles champions?

  2. Aatrox talks about fighting a lot of champions in game interactions.would he win in lore?

  3. What happens when aatrox' vessel decays or is destroyed?

  4. Is there any possibility aatrox can end runeterra?

  5. In regards to aatrox' death animation, did he actually die? And why doesn't rhaast have the same animation, isn't he immortal?

Would like if these questions where answered,ty.

  1. Aatrox was one of the strongest Ascended. If we assume his power has faded a bit he's somewhere about as strong as Nasus or Pantheon (maybe even stronger), but not on the level of Azir or Zoe. If the magic of the Ascended can hurt the shadow isles he's probably stronger than most, if not all of them (Mordekaiser is a wild card until his rework).
  2. He'd win most of the fights. With the exceptions mentioned above and perhaps the Freljordian demigods.
  3. He goes back to being trapped inside the sword, waiting for somebody to pick him up.
  4. I don't think so. Aatrox is desperate for death. He's had a host longer than the other Darkin (or in his case a number of hosts combined into one body) and probably spent a lot of time trying to break his prison and end his existence with no success. The claim that he will end everything is the last bit of hope he has, the only future he sees that won't leave him trapped in the sword forever.
  5. I don't know what the death animation looks like but probably no. Aatrox has been seeking his own death for a long time. I don't think it's something that can be achieved so easily. As long as the sword exists, he will live on.

  1. Yes

  2. Yes

  3. He finds a new one.

  4. It's a guarantee at this point. Fictional prophecies always, and I mean always, come true. Although he will have to force SivirSivir to do it.

  5. He's fine, his host body was just killed.

1&2 The Darkin are Ascended sealed within weapons, so they are around that power level. I'd assume in Aatrox's ult, his power level returns to being one of the highest among the Aspects and Ascended. The current assumption is that celestial magic is effective on the undead and that Aatrox has slain demigods before.

3&5 Aatrox returns to being trapped within the sword, notice the host body disappears but not the sword. The same happens to Rhaast (he returns into the scythe), its probably that Kayn and Rhaast can't have differing death animations though, hence Rhaast's host body doesn't fade away.

4 Yes, however not single handedly. He was once an Ascended and possibly has some insight to the workings of Targon. If he manages to steal the power of an Aspect, imagine what could happen. If he manages to topple Targon, destroying Runeterra could become and achievable feat for him. However keep in mind his true goal is his death/ freedom, ideally someone would find a way to kill him long before then.
